I had a client change name servers in Yahoo. I read the instructions to him over the phone that I found here (http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/webhosting/domains/domainfeatures/advanceddns/advanceddns-12.html).

That was yesterday and the propogation has not taken affect. It shows my name servers in the whois but it points to Yahoo's website.

Does Yahoo require something else to be done? Or have I just been spoiled with Network Solutions, DirectI, and GoDaddy as getting things done usually under 4 hours?

what do you see if you make a ping from DOS prompt ?

I see the old IP address. Doing a whois on www.whois.sc shows my name servers but the old IP.

Using http://www.dnsstuff.com/ shows my name server and my IP address. It seems like it is working OK - just longer to propagate for some reason?

Glad to report that about 1700 on 29 Jun it finally was reachable at the new address. I was just afraid that I might had told him something incorrect since that was my first Yahoo change and that it took quite a few hours.
