Hiya,

can you tell me me any AdSponsor for a website of a friend of mine? His site is a huge community (10'000+ members) on techno music / life style in general. Currently the page gets 100'000+ hits a day. I'm looking in the area of of music / cloth / trendware... just anything that might be somehow related to that.
Any suggestions?

For the most part youth/gaming/entertainment sites dont do very well with ads because hey rarely convert to sales. However, as with any site if you hit the right niche with the right products you will make sales.

The cpc/cpm banner maket is about dead so what your friend would be best off with is affiliate programs, amazin.com, bn.com, and of course cj.com. By finding books, cds, and products geared towards his users (music, cd players, clothing) he can make good sales ratios, avoid tradditional banners and take home a deceent share of the profit.

Realize that traffic no longer means money, making a profit takes lots of work and constant tunning.... his best bet is to try things... see what sells, what doesnt and always keep updating.

cpm is cost per mil or the price for 1,000 views, anotherwords you get paid for each view. cpc is cost per click which means you make money for each click of the banner. cpa is cost per aquisition meaning you get paid for signups, sales, etc...
