Well, after 1 fraud order in 2 years we got 2 today.

Watch out for orders from email addresses admin[at]hanoixanh.net and niitech.edu[at]gmail.com. Don't care about them getting spam, but don't want them searching the web and deciding they don't like my company :)

Both ordered through IPs at Dallas datacenters.

Yes you have to be very careful. We moderate any incoming sign-ups we have and validate phone numbers etc. We have had a few bogus phone numbers. It seems as though these people just see if the cards will go through with large purchases to see what they will be able to buy. Thankfully we have always used the moderation check. I would recommend using moderation instead of allowing the system to just automatically take these cards. Then you have to deal with charge backs and that is not fun.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Alot of fraud orders are seen now with everyone who has a payment processing on thier site. This is due the 40 million credit card database hacked I think.

Don't tell me, my personal credit card is among them, I'm getting a new one next week and the current one is frozen in the meantime... I'll have to change the details at a dozen or so places. :(

2 more overnight. mocavn[at]yahoo.com and annhambachuot2002[at]yahoo.com

I know the first order isn't related to the InstantCash card numbers being stolen, but not sure on the others. My girlfriend actually works for InstantCash with the banks so she's having a tough week at work with 38million cards stolen from 600 banks.

It's really more because of how careless people are with their information--as well as how some companies don't safe guard the information. How are all those cards being stolen?

I don't know... trouble is in most cases you don't know who everyone knows your CC data. I know I haven't done any business with the company directly who lost my CC data, but they might've been the provider of the merchant account of someone I did business with. I wish I could charge that moronic would-be bank for what it costs me now to change all the data at so many places now... and the worst of it is, I have no way of knowing whether this company will implement adequate security measures from now on resp. whether they'll get their rheumatic hands on my new CC data too...
