I have heard a lot of good things about VO. However before signing up I have a few questions. Some of which will be simple to bear with me :-).
The main query I have is how it works. I believe I am correct in thinking that it works like this:
(1) I must sign up for a Virtual Hosting account for min $16 a month
(2) Then I pay $10 for the reseller account upgrade
(3) After that I still only pay $16 a month - no other fees
(4) I only pay for the accounts I sell. So unlike MC HOST etc I am not wasting money if I do not sell any accounts.
Is this correct or have I missed something?.
Secondly what are the +/- of VO.
Thanks for your help

This may be answered on the forum, the other questions should be emailed directly to the provider.

Venturesonline has a customer forum at voinfo.net, most of your questions can probably be answered there.
I have three websites hosted with them since November, 2001.
The uptime has been good and support has been very fast on the few occasions that I had to submit a support ticket. My server was down last Saturday at 7am and I sent a support ticket and sent a message via the emergency pager, and it was back up within 15 or 20 minutes.
You will not waste money but you will pay $16.95 each month for your main account.
If you are going to host small sites you may find a reseller account with something arround 500M space and 3-5G Transfer with unlimmited domains for $20.
VO is better for high transfer sites.

Thats pretty close to it uktophost.
You get an account, upgrade to reseller and get a reseller cpanel which you use for creating resold accounts which are induvidual accounts on their servers, they charge you reseller rate for your resold accounts p/m and then you bill and support your customer.
I have a site with VO that has been with them for over a year now and I remain 100% happy with their service. Uptime, support, etc. are all more than I could want.
I'm in the UK and hosting in america you might worry about support response times normally but any hour of any day you can expect a speedy response.
Email them with all your questions, thats what I did before I went with them. I would always do this sussing out a host now anyway, response is usually a good measure of the company.

 I wrote back ~2.5 hours later... I am embarrassed it wasn't sooner. I try to hit all our sales e-mails under 2 hours or (preferably, much) less. My fastest is 8 minutes.
(Which is pretty good, because I am a motor-mouth!) ;)

Karin, Greetings
Would you please use your power to tell them to start bulk reselling (Ex. 1G space, 10G Transfer, 40 Domains) ?
I have asked this from Paul and others but they say not yet!

Power... LOL :D I have the Gift to Gab but that's as far as it goes. :D Don't worry, VO's well aware that this is a much-wanted item. While I don't know any specifics, I must reference the VO announcement under their Dedicated Section:
We plan to take this time to finish many of these projects and to complete our new product development for rollout in June.
