One of our user on his website is making an online multimedia page generator,

He needs that on the scrrun.dll which is in winnt\system

IUSR_<machinename> and IWAM_<machinename> accounts to have all controls and permissions

I wanted to know if this is a safe thing to do ,

were. set correctly this shouldn't be an issue. And if you must set it, set up his account with an alternate username other than the Internet Guest Account.

However, personally I would't risk it seeing that SCRUN is a system DLL and who knows what lurks behind Windoze!

Sounds like this user needs a dedicated server... this thing could tie up a lot of CPU... generating graphics on demand?
