20 fraud orders

hi

today's was pretty bad day, I received 20 fraud order from person using different names and credit cards but same email address zelot@arty.tv.

This guy is *******, if you create any account for him he will immediately try to install IRC servers on your machine. I tracked him and cleaned IRC serves (now cpanel do automatically i guess)

The bad thing about this is that every time he make a purchase I am being charged $1 :bawling:

what to do  :(

Hi,
I know what you mean... the fraud orders seem to be coming in heavy lately for us too.

You can possibly set your order form to manually process orders until this guy goes away. I am not sure who you use to process or if you have a program, but if you can ban his IP from your server that might be your best bet.

Have your techs do it if you can't.

Good luck getting rid of that jerk.

Well. If he keeps ordering accounts, just send him a reply saying his account cannot be created and is "denied" etc. You have the right to protect your network.

If a user violates your policies, then cancel the account (with warning) and if necessary do not host them in the future.

Seems simple enough. Counting that he's using the same email every time.

I would block his IP.

Report the ip to revecom and let them know the complete story.
That way they could block the orders from going through (by name, ip, address etc.)

Plus, send an email letting the user know that his/er ip has been reported for fraud.

Try searching the forum...i know there is a thread that has more information about dealing with cc fraud.

Do you think this guy hangs out on WebHostingTalk? Just pondering, as I got one fraudulent signup from him as well as several attempted ones which were rejected by 2Checkout. It's really bad.

This same idiot just signed up two accounts with me today. He went by the name of zelot@zelot.org and zelot@zelot.info

I can't believe this guy.

He first signed up a domain using one credit card. Then he had the nerve to sign up another account. He used three credit cards that were declined before he was able to find one that was accepted.

People like that should be locked up and throw away the key!!!
