I need to update the thread i started at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39935 and to my last post at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40573 (Update here: When I talked to this girl at lightone she actually didn't lie to me as I found out today.)
Today we got our server. Not without making threads, contacting and finally talking to lawyers, law enforcement and making our homework.
Did you know that there is NOT legally registered business in the State of Colorado under lightone communications?
Did you know that Chris (the owner of lightone) was questioned from the FBI in the Columbine Highshool shooting/bombing after getting a lead from a person which recorded a conversation of him and another person in an chatroom at his domain? Did you know that he knew one of the killers and even was in the same class? And so on.....
Stay away or at least don't send them any equipment!

so what exactly does a school shooting have to do with hosting your website or server?

Yes, they are a couple of teenagers. He's 21 right now but his business behaviour isn't any serious.

Charles, I haven't read Queensoul's message, but I believe I can partly understand what would motivate somebody to write this.
Come on, how does this Colombine gossip connect with hosting business? The first part of Microsol's message, I can perfectly sympathize with. Apparently he's been through quite an ordeal to get his servers back. However, the owner of Lightone being a witness or something in a criminal case, I just don't get it, it looks like witch hunting to me.
Of course I don't know the whole story, it is possible that Chris is Satan incarnated, and in that case I'd rather not send him any server ;) but **still** I'm sure you see what my point is...

I agree, the Columbine comments should have no place in this forum.

Although I cant speak for microsol i believe his intent was to show that this person is a kid, and that he appartantly is saying something in a chat room on his site that would lead the police believe he may have been part of this shooting. While this does seem far fetched, and since hes not in jail, it is a little strange for him to be posting it but i can also say that if i was a potential customer of lightone I would want to know such oddball details. Microsol posts on here quite regularly so I dont think hes making it up.

None the less im glad to hear he got his server back. And if people are going to call other people a moron, which is uneeded they should at least post why their calling them a moron. Throwing around names and leaving it at that is rediculous.

I like to stay fair and promise to treat you with the same fairness when you are being unnecessarily torn apart by a customer. I am not a colocation or dedicated server provider, so I have no stake in this here conversation, other than fairness. Whats ridiculous is what Microsol is doing. Its okay for Microsol to degrade another person unchecked, continuously, and ridiculous for me to call him a noun which so aptly depicts his actions? You sincerely believe Microsol's soul intent is to show us that Chris Tibaldo is a teenager? At the age of 21? I was a lawyer at the age of 21., whats age got to do with it?

I called Microsol a moron for his endless /continuous and vengeful attacks on Lightone and Chris Tibaldo. I have never flamed anyone in my life and will not start now. Microsol in the previous thread attracted 8 pages wherein he levelled all manner of vicious attacks on Chris as a person and on his business. Chris was called Fraud, thief, ..there were mentions of Microsol filing with ftc, excerpts of conversations, endless attachments. We ooed and aaaaaed. It went way too far. The purpose of the thread he said, towards the end, was to get his server back.

Well he got his server back. He just now updated us on it as Chicken advised him to do in the previous thread. Yet did he stop there? No.
He now continues again with the attack on Chris Tibaldo, thereby sneakily reopening a thread that was locked by Chicken. This one is now a bit more twisted. Chris is now linked with Colombine terrorists. (excuse me I almost choked on my coffee. This is so high school, except a man's source of livelihood is involved here.) Pardon me, I believe the forum is all about fairness, but if am mistaken.....excuse the hack out of me. Go on with your free fall attacks then.
But before you do: Microsol, am very interested in finding out exactly what it is you want now?

Yes but if these statements are true do you not believe he has a right to post them, and that we as consumers should know these things about this chris guy at lightone.

I myself would have done the exact same thing microsol did if someone kept my server and wouldnt give it back.

I fail to see what hes doing wrong as long as everything he says is the truth.

Chris at lightone has a history of letting days go by without rebooting a server for a customer, keeping customers equipment, etc... i would have to say just reviewing his history of customer service would lead me to believe everything microsol says.

And i wasnt calling you a moron. I simply felt it was wrong to post something like that about someone when you dont even explain why. And thought it made you look bad. But dont worry im renowed for not biting my tongue. But i am working on it :)

What i want to say is: Why should this person called "warren" invent this about lightone? The way he conducts his business and what I learned about him I would think that what "warren" says is perfectly possible. There are much more differences if you would go throught all 11000 pages (like we did) between what he told the FBI and what other people said about him, apart from the lead of "warren".

Ok Chris is about 21, which puts him at roughly 18? when Columbine happened.

He got in a chatroom (supposedly, keep in mind irc logs are EASY to 'create') and said a lot of things that he probably shouldn't have said.

I wish I could say I've never been there :D Of course I'm nearly 30 now, and hopefully have a little better wisdom? plain common sense? whatever it is. Chris is apprently about 21 now, it's been 3 (?) years since the crap at Columbine, I suspect he's learned a bit since then too.

This has nothing to do with lightone in my opinion. Stories of non-returned and slowly activated servers, yes, stories about things an 18 year old said 3 years ago in a chat room? Can't find it being all that important now.

Now if this were a couple months ago, then maybe....

Well, to an extent anyway. I'm not sure if dubious 3 year old accusations regarding non-business based issues are really relevant.

Its great to see that my faith in the forum as a fair playing ground is not misplaced and that there are those who remain neutral and make adult and fair observations.

I guess Microsol, you will have your day in court to show us and the world "the truth", erm Mulder! I have recommended a law firm to Chris Tibaldo and Lightone Communication. They have agreed to take this case on a contingency basis and all they even read were snapshots of all your posts. Dont bother editing anything, because they already have snapshots. Should give your lawyers some actual work to do.......yes? Then you can proudly tell the court how you acquired your FBI documents and all the other "stuff" you have "on" Lightone.

Be interesting for you to find out the difference between registering a customer complaint, opinion statements, and blatant slander and libel.
When the searchlight is shined upon your history, Microsol, am pretty sure you will sparkle more than a diamond (insert giggle).

1. See the "?" in the headline?
2. It is a fact that his company is not a legally registered business in his state, at least not at the time of the post, yet claiming on his website to be an "Inc."
3. I did not mention anything other than widely known facts which can be researched and found on the internet.
4. I did not accuse him of anything other than not willing to return our server which has been resolved now.
