Depends how much bandwidth comes with the package.

Personally, I can get a Dual 1Ghz/1GB Ram/2 30GB 7200 seagate Hard-drives/dual nics/redhat 7.2 $250 a month on Internap. But the bandwidth that comes with the package isn't the greatest. Also, It doesn't really matter to me as the consumer (doing a dedicated server and not making it myself and colocating) if the server is 1u.
Depends on your NOC, I'd say that's a waste of cash on your end.

All depends how much bandwidth you're including:)

Hope this helps a bit,
Jay

bandwith is not counted like most hosts you get your own space in the cabinet with your own port connection on a 1 mbs connection burstable to 10mbs if you continually exceed the 1mbs then other options would have to be looked into

I think if you threw another 512 chip in the box, you'd get some sales. $375 would normally be alot, but I guess if you have a good network. It's worth it. I.E. Rackspace.com.

It's hard these days unless you have a wicked good deal to offer (because of rackshack). Sad thing is people don't care about quality. They just want to save money. Now if it's for a personal web server, saving money is neat. But hosts that are reselling off these boxes, buying crap boxes really insults me that they are doing business. Don't get me wrong, not insulting rackspace. But there's tons of other hosts that are better than them but people won't go with them because they can get a box from rackshack at 1/4 of the cost.

The biggest problem that I have with colocating or "leasing" dedicated servers is this;

You find one of three combos in each host:

****ty and Slow Tech Support but fast line<not slow as in 6hrs..as in 1-3 days+>
****ty and slow line and fast tech support
Or just ****ty all around.

I've never had a GREAT/GREAT or even a GOOD/GOOD combo.

For instance, it just took me 4 days to get 4 IPs reversed. How hard is it for your host to plug in some reverses. (Most likley in a GUI) 4 days for a few minutes tops. (I don't have the powers to reverse the host where this box is, has to do it).

Or before that, one of my colos. They just upped and left out of their datacenter. Moved into their own and switched to 100% cogent bandwidth. They must've gotten a crappy line too, because the speeds sucked.

I've just had alot of bad experiances.
