I'm looking for a new host for my website.
I'm running a gaming site, which will be expanded into a windows background picture site, a database listing all downloads and thier locations for a few computer games, and a game file downlad site. The total expansion will put the site well over the 50mb aloted on the free host its at now. And the database section which is wanted by many people will probaly use alot of bandwidth, the downloads probably will too.

What I want:
Price preferably under US$30 a month. (might go as high as $50)
FTP upload
In-Site editing of files
at least 500mb diskspace, preferably 1gig
the ability to make multiple login/passwords and have them set to only being able to edit certain parts of the site (for the database section) or password protected folders/files.
preferably 1gig a month or more bandwidth.
I also want reliability.

The hoster I'm currently interested in offers 1 gig space and 12gig per year bandwidth for only US$20 a year and they have been aound since 2000. Its at http://www.LowestCostHost.com Anybody hear of it or use it?

I'm guessing that you'll need around 10GB/month traffic, not 1GB.

Good luck.

Sounds like you need some kind of reseller account for yourself. Try looking into McHost.com or SplashHost.com, heard good stories about both on these forums.

I'm with Site5 myself, highest plan, which offers 550mb and 22gb/m for $29.95. Might be enough for you in the short term, but a reseller account sounds better for the long run.

For all recommended hosts, do a search in the forums to see what their service is like :).

I originally had my company info on here, but then I read the rules. So this is just some filler, sorry about that guys.

Was that a big no-no? (I'm obviously new here, next time I guess it helps to read the rules first.)

Yep, only post responses about your company in the Advertising Request forums ... I've made the mistake myself :)
