NexDog 06-20-2005, 01:30 AM Think of something abstract. Hosts with with "host" in the same are so par for the course and lack imagination. w_man 06-20-2005, 01:52 AM try a1hosting.net SpeedEXEC 06-20-2005, 03:06 AM Not sure if this will help, but you may want to read my replies at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=400411 :) NexDog 06-20-2005, 03:09 AM Yea, CialisHosting sounds great. :D Hamtramck Rick 06-20-2005, 12:27 PM Hi Daniel, What sort of ideas do you want your hosting name to convey? Are you aiming at any subgenre of hosting? Is there a word that people might google and you would like your name to come up? Write down all words that come to you and visit a thesaurus. A thesaurus never works for me but do anything to continue the inner dialogue with yourself on this subject. Someone suggested not including "host" in the name. As a similiar example, GoDaddy has been very successful with a name that has nothing to do with their industry. It's something to think about. I myself would probably have "host" in my name, but I don't know why. Obviously it would do no good in the search engines. Think hard and have fun! layer0 06-20-2005, 10:01 PM Originally posted by NexDog Think of something abstract. Hosts with with "host" in the same are so par for the course and lack imagination. Speak for yourself ;) HostNexus Thanks, DLee 06-20-2005, 10:24 PM I disagree with you nexdog. I think having a domain with the name "host" or "hosting" in it is a good idea for a budding business. It's important to let browsers know what sort of a website they are surfing. This coming from someone with a business named statusweb :) Joshua 06-20-2005, 10:29 PM How about ResellerPeak.com? :D We looked for a name that was able to convey what our focus was, but avoided using the word "host" in the process. Catchy and innovative names (such as combinations of 2 words), can also be effective. Ask family and friends for ideas, as well. NeoGen 06-20-2005, 10:57 PM How about danihost.com its available too :D eSited 06-20-2005, 10:58 PM How about.. iaidakdk34jijdaidaidawiiwi3jrw384u8iasjfijjfaiifjewijrejfjeifefjejfjeijiu48aj83u48jaULTRAHOST.com At least it's unique :-D NeoGen 06-20-2005, 11:11 PM Originally posted by PTH How about.. iaidakdk34jijdaidaidawiiwi3jrw384u8iasjfijjfaiifjewijrejfjeifefjejfjeijiu48aj83u48jaULTRAHOST.com At least it's unique :-D Tried registering this domain, and got error message from godaddy: IAIDAKDK34JIJDAIDAIDAWIIWI3JRW384U8IASJFIJJFAIIFJEWIJREJFJEIFEFJEJFJEIJIU48AJ83U48JAULTRAHOST.COM is an invalid domain name.
