Interested to know, who is your favourite web design company? I know i'm going to see Pixelbrick, 2Advance/d (I forget), and PointOnWeb, but who else?

I don't think I really have a favorite because I like some designs and I don't like some designs even if they're by the same designer. It's kind of hard to say for me.

tricopter.com is my favorite.

By far its pixel brick... havn't had anything done by them but they are good!

I think 2advanced.com's flashwork is absolutely stunnning, look in their portfolio, some of the sites they have done are just beautiful.

Just wish I had that kind of skill. Maybe I should try playing with flash again...did a couple animations with flash 4 and now after seeing flash 5 I was kind of intimidated, havent DLed flash mx yet. I still have alot to learn ::sighs::

I really like Pixelbrick's work, though they are expensive. I think your clients will be better off if you spend your spare cash on providing better support and service instead of shelling out for a web site which might look a little bit more impressive.

I tried visiting the web site in your profiler (2crawler.com), but I got a DNS error?

I don't even have a host for it yet...

Circle Graphics, www.Circle.bc.ca - They're just as good in certain aspects.

Every company has it's own style as well as strengths and weaknesses.

I've always liked http://www.avemedia.com (akashik.net on the forum). He's done some work I've liked for hosts here, not to mention a quick tmeplate for HHO. Also http://www.pixelbrick.com as well... some nifty stuff there.

Akashik has a good design :)

akashik.net (I like a lot phpsuppordesk's site), pixelbrick (I love what they do in fastwebsites.com and HR), 2advanced.com its nice, but not for a normal site, I don't like flash too much, and yaxay.com (I like a lot what Corey did in sites like f5hosting)

Think in something like $5K for a couple of templates and $15K for a complete site design.

Hmm. pixelbrick are very good. I actually have one of their wallpapers on my desktop at the moment.

My favorite is borderline as she rarely does websites but I've always been amazed by her work. http://www.bajema.com (slight adult themes there so you've been told). She's one of the few artists I know that I'm often at a loss at how she does some of the things she does.

All the pixelbrick sites I have seen - ive liked. Cant say theres been one site ive looked at and gone "hmmmm no".

Their work is stunning :D

Steve 2Advanced has many designers, blalox only has one. For one person to be able to put together such beatiful work, I think he deserves credit.

Woah.

I'd have to disagree with that. They've got some cool artwork throughout that design, and nifty effects. I love the moving clouds in the first section. The animations between sections are very cool too. I wouldn't want something like this as my company site, too flashy, but it shows they have a very high skill level.

Maybe this was a joke? I don't see how anyone can call their design or designs "dull". I don't think it would work for a hosting company site, but dull?:eek:

As for 2Advanced, yes, they do construct good work, but not the best out there.

I've always liked eye4u as well! They had a longer site (longer transitions between pages), but I suppose they cut it down to save everything.

The overage4design.com seems new (wasn't like that when I saw it just a day ago) so they may be redoing it (though navigation was a bit of a game before, so hard to tell exactly).

dude whoever said that the 2advanced design was not that good is insane.

that home page is gorgeous......the moving cloud effect behind the design is sublime

Just for the record, I never said the design was not good. What I did say is that I found it a bit dull overall, and the flash took minutes to download (I live in Ireland, and we don't have ADSL or cable here yet).

So yes the design isn't bad, but there are lots of other good Flash web sites out there, and there wasn't anything I had not seen before. And the colors were a bit dull. :D
