It's kind of hard to say for me. rence 03-25-2002, 10:41 PM tricopter.com is my favorite. creid 03-25-2002, 11:04 PM By far its pixel brick... havn't had anything done by them but they are good! Chris nocturnix123 03-26-2002, 04:27 AM 2advanced.com and pixelbrick I think 2advanced.com's flashwork is absolutely stunnning, look in their portfolio, some of the sites they have done are just beautiful. Just wish I had that kind of skill. Maybe I should try playing with flash again...did a couple animations with flash 4 and now after seeing flash 5 I was kind of intimidated, havent DLed flash mx yet. I still have alot to learn ::sighs:: avara 03-26-2002, 06:31 PM I really like Pixelbrick's work, though they are expensive. I think your clients will be better off if you spend your spare cash on providing better support and service instead of shelling out for a web site which might look a little bit more impressive. 311 03-26-2002, 06:40 PM myself, I've designed all my sites, and like them avara 03-26-2002, 06:43 PM Originally posted by 311 myself, I've designed all my sites, and like them I tried visiting the web site in your profiler (2crawler.com), but I got a DNS error? 311 03-26-2002, 06:46 PM I don't even have a host for it yet... If you really want to see it that badly I could send you a link from where it's hosted on a free host... (btw, from my previous post I forgot to add, I am not a design company, I design my own sites which means I don't need a designer) avara 03-26-2002, 07:36 PM Originally posted by 311 I don't even have a host for it yet... Please email me the address to urban@hostit365.com. If it's really good, I might have some web site design work for you. TimPD 03-26-2002, 08:19 PM <<MOD EDIT: Besides yourself... for heaven's sake>> BrianF 03-27-2002, 02:57 PM (mt) www.mediatemple.com -- They're another one of my favorites. Circle Graphics, www.Circle.bc.ca - They're just as good in certain aspects. Every company has it's own style as well as strengths and weaknesses. Brian Chicken 03-27-2002, 09:56 PM I've always liked http://www.avemedia.com (akashik.net on the forum). He's done some work I've liked for hosts here, not to mention a quick tmeplate for HHO. Also http://www.pixelbrick.com as well... some nifty stuff there. NetXL 03-27-2002, 10:17 PM Akashik has a good design :) Jedito 03-28-2002, 01:58 AM akashik.net (I like a lot phpsuppordesk's site), pixelbrick (I love what they do in fastwebsites.com and HR), 2advanced.com its nice, but not for a normal site, I don't like flash too much, and yaxay.com (I like a lot what Corey did in sites like f5hosting) kunal 03-28-2002, 04:22 AM i would recommend akashik.net to anyone.. it was great working with greg... i am yet kinda stunned as to how he survived working for me :D rbro 04-22-2002, 12:32 AM Have any of you guys had a site designed by Pixelbrick? Just how expensive are they? Their stuff looks great..... Jedito 04-22-2002, 12:54 AM Originally posted by rbro Have any of you guys had a site designed by Pixelbrick? Just how expensive are they? Their stuff looks great..... Think in something like $5K for a couple of templates and $15K for a complete site design. netacore 04-22-2002, 01:10 AM you guys/gals need to check this out: http://www.overage4design.com 21inchguns 04-22-2002, 01:29 AM that overage site has some extremely interesting design......too slow though for my 56k.... One of my favorites is these guys....they have cutting edge technology and quick turnaround too........ Webtek design (http://www.geocities.com/webtekrocks/) akashik 04-22-2002, 05:40 AM Originally posted by kunal i am yet kinda stunned as to how he survived working for me :D hehe.. you weren't that bad :D I could tell you stories! Hmm. pixelbrick are very good. I actually have one of their wallpapers on my desktop at the moment. My favorite is borderline as she rarely does websites but I've always been amazed by her work. http://www.bajema.com (slight adult themes there so you've been told). She's one of the few artists I know that I'm often at a loss at how she does some of the things she does. Greg Moore viGeek 04-22-2002, 12:50 PM World Wide Web Communications, http://www.wwwcomm.com Very expensive though! Vex 04-22-2002, 01:05 PM 1) 2advanced 2) Pixelbrick Martie 04-22-2002, 02:58 PM I would have to throw my vote in for http://designerduo.com/ awesome work! :D akashik 04-22-2002, 03:44 PM Originally posted by Martie http://designerduo.com/:D Hmm, can't believe I forgot them. They do some amazing work too. Has a very 'organic' feel to it - if that makes sense. Greg Moore HRBrendan 04-22-2002, 04:12 PM Pixelbrick all the way - we have had great work from them in the past, and more to come real soon ;) -Brendan BrianF 04-22-2002, 04:19 PM Brendan, are you guys getting a new website? Nicholas Brown 04-22-2002, 05:39 PM All the pixelbrick sites I have seen - ive liked. Cant say theres been one site ive looked at and gone "hmmmm no". Their work is stunning :D Studio64 04-22-2002, 10:23 PM Anyone have any opinions on razorfish?.. Big before the dot-com burst and I havn't heard anything about them in a while?.. iamdave 04-22-2002, 10:40 PM blalox 2advaced pixelbrick scslawin 04-23-2002, 02:17 PM blalox looks an awful lot like 2advanced, but not as good. Steve Vex 04-23-2002, 02:19 PM Only thing I really see that similar to 2advanced is the colors. iamdave 04-24-2002, 02:59 AM Originally posted by scslawin blalox looks an awful lot like 2advanced, but not as good. Steve 2Advanced has many designers, blalox only has one. For one person to be able to put together such beatiful work, I think he deserves credit. avara 04-24-2002, 07:54 AM Originally posted by Vex Only thing I really see that similar to 2advanced is the colors. For some reason, I just don't really like the 2advanced design. It's a bit dull, and honestly anyone with a few skills could have put it together. NetXL 04-24-2002, 09:45 AM Woah. I'd have to disagree with that. They've got some cool artwork throughout that design, and nifty effects. I love the moving clouds in the first section. The animations between sections are very cool too. I wouldn't want something like this as my company site, too flashy, but it shows they have a very high skill level. rbro 04-24-2002, 07:02 PM Originally posted by avara For some reason, I just don't really like the 2advanced design. It's a bit dull, and honestly anyone with a few skills could have put it together. Maybe this was a joke? I don't see how anyone can call their design or designs "dull". I don't think it would work for a hosting company site, but dull? Synthetic 04-24-2002, 10:25 PM Here are some of my favorites: http://www.neostream.com & http://www.eye4u.com I was wondering, how do you enter the Overage Website? Or is that all there is to it? (http://www.overage4design.com). As for 2Advanced, yes, they do construct good work, but not the best out there. Chicken 04-24-2002, 11:38 PM I've always liked eye4u as well! They had a longer site (longer transitions between pages), but I suppose they cut it down to save everything. The overage4design.com seems new (wasn't like that when I saw it just a day ago) so they may be redoing it (though navigation was a bit of a game before, so hard to tell exactly). IdioTeQue 04-25-2002, 12:00 AM dude whoever said that the 2advanced design was not that good is insane. that home page is gorgeous......the moving cloud effect behind the design is sublime avara 04-25-2002, 12:04 AM Just for the record, I never said the design was not good. What I did say is that I found it a bit dull overall, and the flash took minutes to download (I live in Ireland, and we don't have ADSL or cable here yet). So yes the design isn't bad, but there are lots of other good Flash web sites out there, and there wasn't anything I had not seen before. And the colors were a bit dull. :D I am sorry if I offended anyone. Don't take what I say so seriously. ;) rbro 04-25-2002, 02:16 PM Originally posted by avara I am sorry if I offended anyone.
