I know that hostcharge was discussed shortly after they launched, but I was wondering whether anybody had good or bad experiences with them.
I've been trying to sign up with them, but haven't had any reply yet - even though their site talks about 'thirty minutes' it's been two days. (Maybe I'm just impatient)

it's been over a week on mine.... they send me the paperwork (after waiting for about a week), but I had a question about the contract (a charge mentioned on it) and haven't heard from them since.... I dunno what to think about that

Eh...I made it through that phase and had my account successfully setup.
However I'm not using them (yet) since most options in their CP, or at least most of the options I was interested in, have been "available in 2 days" for now 2 weeks.

Well, wait and see...

What did they do about the $49.99 charge mentioned in the contract? It was supposed to be waived for former 2checkout clients, but it's still there in the contract :(

Woops,
that I must ask, I'm not in charge of finances.
However when I asked about this back then, I was told they would take $1 to verify our credit card and that's all.

Hello people,

I apologise for the delays, let me do a little explaining and you will see why this happened:

First about the setup fee, that is correct for ONE more week we will be waiving the setup fee.

Secondly applications were delayed due to some processing problems on our bank side. To learn the reason why, please EMAIL ME OFF FORUMS since this is not a HostCharge support forum.

Our service will be fully restored on Wednesday 12AM GMT+5
Once again I sincerely apologise for the inconvienences!

Best Regards,
Asher T. Saeed

Kyo, I'm using ReveCom and wonder if you can also waive the setup fee for ReveCom customers, I can't find any threads about your setup fee waive offer at WHT

Good to hear.

Thanks.

In the future, send an email informing clients what is going on, and when you expect to be done.

Hello,

I know where you all are coming from. Basically, I'm just posting here to kind of 'back up' asher. He and I have been talking over email every day for about two weeks now. Like he's said here, he's also told me over email everything will be fixed by 11AM EST tomorrow. He has also assured me all of the updated features will be tested on Thursday and then sometime Thursday evening or Friday morning the new MCC will be put into place which offers such features as API integration, batch processing and realtime billing. So, according to him everything will be ready to rock'n'roll by this weekend. I guess we'll see how it all works out.

Oh, and despite their problems, their customer service and support has been top notch throughout my entire history with them. I can pretty much have a response in my inbox 10 minutes after I send Asher or Trevor an email. Asher and Trevor have also been very honest with me throughout the entire process. They haven't tried to hide any details or fluff anything up.

So, as far as this customer goes, I'm already a satisfied customer, even though I haven't been able to actually *use* their service.

Thanks for listening,
Chris

Would anybody happen to have a phone number for Hostcharge? There doesn't seem to be anything on their site.

Although we do not have an 800 number, I do accept business calls directly. You can reach me on my phone number which would be long distance for you. If you do not care about long distance then please email me and I'll send you my #.

best regards,
asher.

Sorry for inconvienece but Trevor has been unavailable for this week. I believe an auto-responder was setup on his address saying this but I guess it would have turned off after we changed our email server yesterday.

Asher.

The auto-responder was setup a few days ago. So it probably wasn't available when you emailed us :)

Asher.

Just to let everyone know...

Asher mailed me the info and we resolved the issue I had with the contract :).

So I'm sending it off tonight! :)

Exactly what they are gonna do with mine :).

I just didn't want to sign the contract when it says 49.99, but asher was flexible about that...

contracts are legally binding, so if someone wanted to, they'd be able to charge 49.99 :)

When we were filling out the contracts, we just put "N/A" (not applicable) in the blanks like the setup fee since ours like many others was waived.

I finally got a reply from HostCharge yesterday promising to send me an email later in the day when they'd sorted out their new application process. I'm still waiting for an update on that.
The good news is, looking at their site, they've introduced 3 different plans to cover the different levels of business. Although the commissions vary, the setup charge now has three tiers:
1. Free
2. About $20
3.The original $49

Nice:)

Now if I could just get an account setup I'd be really happy ;)

Guys and Gals :)

We really request your patience in the application thing. As most of you may have noticed that we're doing major changes to the system. They should ALL be done by Saturday!

Best Regards,
Asher.

I've had a couple of emails from them assuring me that they'll get it all sorted out today. They're obviously working on it, so I guess we'll have to be patient.

As you may have been aware that our previous application process was pretty manual and took a little time.

Thats why we're building a new apply process which evaluates your application online within a few minutes. If approved your account is setup instantly. IF you fax your documents immediately after the application process your account can be 'activated' within a matter of minutes!

This link will be up on Monday first thing. That is my personal guarantee. If you have an urgent need for processing (if you cannot wait until monday that is) then please contact me i will have an account setup for you immediately (provided you can do the paperwork within a while).

Regards,
Asher.

What paperwork do you need?
If you give us that information it would speed things up.
I can wait until tomorrow - but what time ie. timezone?

Asher S
03-31-2002, 01:54 PM
The paperwork would be:

- Filling out the credit card authorization form and faxing it
- Sending us your application details (Once we send you the document)

That would be it. And by Monday I mean tommorow GMT+5 1PM.
Would you kindly email me directly? As this is not a support forum for HostCharge.

Regards,
Asher
