Just got this info from my host after my email stopped working.

But please update your domain nameservers info to:
ns1.msaccessrepair.com - xx.xx.45.2
ns2.msaccessrepair.com - xx.xx.33.xx

My domains are with godaddy. How do I update the IP address? Where do I do it?

Sign into Godaddy and go to Manage Account - My Domains

Click on the domain name you wish to update the IP addresses of (msaccessrepair.com)

Now over on the right hand side click on the plus sign by Domain Host Summary and then Click here to see details or to modify.

Here is where you can change / modify them accordingly. Don't forget the A record as well.

(You might have to unlock the domain name first)

Or you should log on. Click on "Manage Domains". Check the domain name msaccessrepair.com (Put a tick) and on the upper bar click on "Set Nameservers"

The changes are for another email address. I had a reseller account and I had to create nameservers for the whole lot.

Therefore, I am not quite sure what to do.

In fact, the domain msaccessrepair.com is not even using those nameservers as I moved it to another host.

Help!

I am not getting you at all. Please correct me if I am wrong.

1) - You are using email hosting and web hosting with 2 separate hosts?

2) - The mail hosting provider has adviced you to update the nameserver info to get the emails up?

If yes then you can keep the DNS to what the web host has provided and then set MX records with the help of your web hosting service support team. They can easily add it.

I got a reseller account where I could name my own nameservers. So I used ns1.msaccessrepair.com as the main domain for that reseller hosting account was msaccessrepair.com. Therefore, all domains under that account used ns1.msaccessrepair.com as the nameserver.

Then I decided to move the msaccessrepair.com domain to another host but I left all the other domains where they were. Consequenly, msaccessrepair.com was now using a different nameserver to before. The other domains were still using ns1.msaccessrepair.com.

So now, as far as I can gather, the domain msaccessrepair.com has a different nameserver to the other domains, which still use ns1.msaccessrepair.com.

So now that my host said this...

But please update your domain nameservers info to:
ns1.msaccessrepair.com - xx.xx.45.2
ns2.msaccessrepair.com - xx.xx.33.xx

...I'm not quite sure what to do.

Is this clearer?

Did you change the A names and update the records at your registrar?

This is exactly what you are needed to do. You had previous nameservers:

ns1.msaccessrepair.com - xx.xx.45.2
ns2.msaccessrepair.com - xx.xx.33.xx

and you must have created these nameservers at your domain registrar. Login to your current domain registrar control panel and search for option that says "Create Nameservers" on the same page you will find "Update Nameserver" which is required to change A records for your nameservers.

When you create a fresh nameserver it is propagated over the internet unless you send a request to delete it or change its A records. It doesn't matter whether you are using your nameserver for the same domain or not. If your webhost suggests to change A records its better to do as your other domains might stop resolving.

I am with Godaddy. I click on Domain Names, Manage Domains, click the domain to modify, click Set Nameservers, it then displays my Custom Name Servers on the right hand side of the screen. But I cannot see anywhere there to modify the IP numbers.

What do I do when I get to that stage?

Great thanks! Waiting for it to propagate now.
