I have absolutely no idea what a reseller plan is. Is it kind of like you offer hosting for your sites visitors, but its really hosted by your sites host? Can someone please recomend a site that explains what reseller plans are or can explain to me? Thanks alot

That basically sums it up. You buy low, sell high. Yo are like a host without having to own/run servers. You bill your customer, you provide support. Generally at least.

Some hosts also have an Account Executive or Affilate Seller orsome other title program. You sell their plans at their prices and you get a monthly commission as long as the buyers remain with the service. The parent hosting company handles the billing and tech support.

Dan, do you know how big supermarkets have their own brand of shampoo, apple sauce etc... They don't have plants that make these products, but they agree with a manufacturer to market those products under their brand name. The same applies to reselling. As a reseller, you don't have a physical machine to sell accounts on, but you agree with the host (manufacturer) to sell accounts under your brand name. Your host remains anonymous... as much as possible anyway.
There are two methods of reselling:
1) You buy accounts individually at a discount from the host and resell them after adding your markup to them.
2) Bulk reselling is when you lease a portion of harddisk from the host and design your own plans. Or when you purchase accounts in bulk, 10 or 20 at a time and resell them at retail.
The first option is more viable if you are starting out. The second needs more experience.
There's also affiliate programs. Under those, you become a marketer for the host. You market their brand, not yours, and the customers are theirs. However, you make a commission which can either be a one time deal, or residual income where you get a cut each month. Depends on the program and the host.
Hope this helps a bit.
