rackAID is seeking entry-level part-time and/or on-call system administrators to help us with off-hour support and fill in during staff vacancies.
General Duties:
Respond to helpdesk tickets.
Restart servers/services as required.
Escalate service requests.
Provide information/estimates for new service requests.
Routine server updates and backups.
Qualifications:
RedHat Linux Experience (3 or more years)
Good written communication skills.
Plesk, Ensim, Cpanel experience a plus.

Current Open Positions:
Part-Time System Admin (Entry Level)
Duties: Part-time position to handle scheduled server updates, backups and other administrative tasks.
Commitment: 5-10 hours per week. Schedule is flexible but must be available but prefer scheduling time during M-F 9AM-5PM EDT.
Telecommute: Yes or you can work from our offices in New Haven, CT
Special Requirements: Must be a US citizen, reside in the US and be fluent in English.
Salary: Pay will be hourly based on experience and qualifications.
On-Call System Admin
Duties: On-call position to handle service outages during off-hours. This basically involves restarting services, rebooting services and troubleshooting any errors. If you cannot resolve the issue, you can escalate it to second tier support.
Commitment: 2 or more 5 hour min blocks during 11PM - 7 AM EDT (-4 GMT) and all US holidays and weekends. Other time may be available as well during vacations and staff vacancies.
Telecommute: Yes.
Special Requirements: Must be fluent in English.
Salary: Will be paid a base rate plus per-incident. Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
