Mysitehost.net has been around for about 6 months now and I am just about to make the jump to a dedicated or co-located server and start marketing my go at internet webhosting.

What do you suggest would be the best way to start here? use tera-bytes $99/mo Raq3 solution until the servers HD is full? Then move up to something else?

Go with UltraspeedUSA, or VDI's co-location services right off at about $2000 investment and $150-200 monthly initialy?

I don't exactly know. Will having a raq server scare customers away? I have limited funds, but I know that if I get away fom my current reseller type position I can offer great prices and features.

Does anyone out there have a great low cost reseller plan that will allow me to be flexible with features without jacking the pricing way up?

Does anyone out there have a good introductory pricing plan to help the little guy get started like VDI.net had a few months ago?

Please let me know, pay day is on the 10th and I want to get started in the new year asap! :-)

I'll be going with a RaQ soon, although I won't advertise the fact all over my site.

Well, the best way (in terms of cash outlay), would be to resell then move your clients to a dedicated once you get enough to pay for the server. But $99/mo isn't exactly too much to swing either and if you've got the money, it is within reach.

Obviously spending $2,000 for a server and going with a colo is the most expensive, but many prefer this. You could also look at a leased server other than a RaQ (at a VDI based host if that's what you like). This would land you in the middle somewhere.
