Grrrrr... Enom is costing me time and money :(

downtime will happen, the only way to work around it is the plan ahead.

These things happen. And I dont see how this can cost you money - they are never down for long. Any site which has the amount of users eNom has will need to be maintained from time to time. Fact of life :)

Overall, their downtime is very minimal and something that happens to every website now and again.

How is this costing you money, by the way?

Lol, a customer notified me of an error on my site. He wanted to order a few domains, but couldn't so he said he went elsewhere to order. Not sure how difficult a concept that is to grasp. Customer order elsewhere = cost me money.

And it's better for ENOM to schedule their maintenance... I try my very best to support my customers but it's hard when ENOM doesn't fully inform me.

PS: Relax guys... it's more of a friendly rant ;)

3 things:

1) sorry about your loss of $2

2) your website is down

3) What is "LOL"?

3) LOL = laugh out loud.

2) My website is not down. The URL in my sig has an error - it was missing a "dot" in there. I have fixed it, thanks for letting me know.

1) And my loss was far greater than $2, lol. My business model is not typical of those found on WHT. I value my time and resources.

PS: Wow, webmasters aren't really the friendliest bunch ehh :o

You are on a roll, final question is...

How long is a length of rope?

I am relaxing :)

I am truly sorry for your loss. Have you considered using the eNom API and DRAMS that way you will not be affected when eNom does maintenance and you still get your orders.

Just a thought - I hope it helps.

Thanks for the helpful reply :)

The strange thing is that I am using the enom API through MB's interface...

But overall, i'm quite happy with enom.

HOST78...ever hear of unscheduled downtime? Nice bumper sticker on my car...reads "Sh*t Happens!" (without the *). ;)

You've lost a couple bucks. Enom gets thousands of orders an hours...wonder how many they lost?
