View Full Version : MAJOR Whois.Cart() Reseller Creation Problem

I am using the cPanel/WHM HAPI for Whois.Cart() to auto create hosting accounts. For reseller I check the reseller box to make them have access to WHM. The reseller gets created but does not have ANY access in WHM (can get into WHM but can't do anything - can't create accounts, can't do ANYTHING). ANY way to fix this?

This is probably a CPanel problem, have you tried creating a user by hand with the same package?

My guess is that you didnt configure the the ACL in the 'reseller center' properly.

Hi,

While we keep support out of public forums, threads with titles like these are kindling for wild rumors - I would definitely like to put sticks in that wheel here before they begin - there are enough unfounded whois.cart rumors out there already ;)

As Roy mentions, the ACL list can be globally configured to define which privileges your reseller base will have. Have you configured these settings? There are some stirrings at cPanel.net about enabling a default ACL list - not certain if this has yet been done:
http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=37815&highlight=ACL+list

This said, only root users can create subresellers (search cpanel.net's forums):
http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=32649&highlight=subreseller

Thus, make sure that you define your ACL list properly, and that you are instantiating accounts using the root user on the WHM server. (ex, user should be the root user in your cpanel_1_config.php)

Regards & Hope this helps!

whoiscart doesn't support .com.tw or .cn registration?

whoiscart doesn't support .com.tw or .cn registration?

Not sure if that was a question or comment - ;)

Whois.Cart() can register any domain that our integrated RAPI modules permit. Enom for instance, permits registration of both the domains you mention. If you use WC in tandem with Enom, com.tw and cn are definitely domains you can offer.

Thanks Saeven, Shall I have to write my own code to integrated the enom or directI for full IDNs register support with whois.cart()? or just the whois.cart() have that build-in ability to do so?

DirectI's API doesn't accept any IDN characters.

Enom's does however.

If you're looking for full-out IDN support though, I'd sit still until Silverstar is released.
