View Full Version : DirectI (Unauthorized Charges)

I'm a little bit stumped right now and wanted to find out what others thought.

Currently I show 2 unauthorized charges made by DirectI, to one of my Debit Cards with PayPal. I have tried contacting them many times via their support center, but as usual, they are no help. I just sent in the chargeback for both unauthorized charges, and have canceled my card to prevent future damage. I have never had any kind of problems like this, and wanted to see if this happened to anyone else.

That’s what puzzled me. I have no doubt in my mind that this will be solved. I'm just wondering why this has happened.

You can also report this issue to paypal, if you are under the first 30 days from the day the payment has been made, paypal will refund you unless Directi proves that the service you have paid for have been given to you.

I already sent them the forms for the chargeback today, so I will see what they say in the next week or so.

Support has always been pretty bad for me. When you send in a ticket, don’t expect it to be replied to for about a day. I don’t know if that has anything to do with them being in India.

Some thoughts:

1. Were any of your services with them set on autorenew?

2. Did you get any notice whatsoever of some impending problem
like WHOIS bad report or UDRP notice?

Go Daddy charges $9.95 for non-compliance of WHOIS updating
after some time and $29 for receipt of a UDRP challenge, although
they'd refund the latter if the registrant wins. Just some examples
of a registrar charging for something, but there is a reason why
Directi would charge you, I'm sure.

Hope these help in any way...

The problem is, I was charged amounts, and those amounts were never credited to my account with them. Even if something was set to auto renew, it would have taken it out of my DirectI balance, and not charged $50 and not be notified about it.
