Hello ,

I'm just about to startup a web host

I want to know what you people would want Webspace / Data-transfer wise .. from a web host .. and for how much per month / per year.

I'm thinking about this :

65 MB Webspace
2 GB ( 2048 MB ) Data-transfer per month
20 POP3 E-mail Mail Boxes
Catch All E-mail Account
E-mail Forwarding Accounts
E-mail auto-responders
Linux or Windows OS
php / perl / ssi or asp / perl / ssi
Domain Hosting
1 Sub-Domain with FTP account
FTP Access
Customer Technical and General Support via E-mail , Phone ( UK 0870 number ) , Forum , Support Ticket and Web Live Chat.
Members Area Access
Real Time Hosting Control Panel
10 mins to 24 hours setup guarantee

all for £72.95 per year

It's not bad, but for the features it is a bit high...

I think that in order to succeed you need to be different than every other host on the web.

My suggestions:
Let clients pick out their package from something like this.

50 mb space, 500 mb transfer, 10 MySQL, 10 POP3
OR
100 mb space, 1000 mb transfer, 5 MySQL, 5 POP3

In this way you can have multiple packages worth the same amount, but they are adjusted for the client's needs.

Hi, I think your package is a little overpriced, the price in USD would be almost $100 per year, that gives +/- $8 per month, and for that you should offer more BW for your costumers...

Just my 0.02€ tho ;)
