View Full Version : ModernBill Issues

I have been setting up ModernBill for the last couple of days. I finished it last night, but after a few tests I spotted a number of issues that I need help resolving.

1. In the signup email, that the customer receives automatically, it displays all the details that the customer submitted, but it doesn't show the fax number. I have installed ModernBill twice, and this has happened both times. Is this a known bug? Does anybody have a suggestion to resolve this?

2. In both the signup and welcome emails, strange symbol's appear at certain points throughout the body. Images below:

3. When the customer logs in to their MB control panel, there is not an option for them to cancel their package. Is it possible to have this option for them?

Any help, with any of these issues, would be much appreciated.

The symbols sound like an encoding issue in your HTML output

Thank you, blacknight. ModernBill support got back to me yesterday evening, you are right, it was an encoding issue.

The Fax issue was a bug, of which they were aware, and is been fixed in todays latest release (ready for download tomorrow).

As for the customer cancelling their account, it simply can't be done. Only admins have the power to do that, it seems a little silly to me though, not even having an opportunity to turn on an option to allow customers to cancel their account.

The account cancellation by customer has been discussed in the MB forum. I would like it incorporated as a choice to give the clients but there are some good arguments there for not including it.

Because you can add pages to the client side it is possible to put a basic PHP form for a customer to inform you about account cancellation - but it will still have to be done manually.
