Which registrar would you recommend for reselling? I'd like to add domain registration to my services.

Also - will I need to program the interface myself or how does that actually work?

Thanks!

I am quite happy with itsyourdomain.com
They let you sell domains & have an affiliate program.

It is a pretty simple cut and paste program.
No charge to start.

if you can afford an initial purchase of around US$500, enom.com is worth looking at. They have a registry rocket program which does not require any programming.

I have been very happy with their services in the time that I have used them.

@All

How about OpenSRS? I noticed they require $250 pre-pay - do they offer any interface or will I need to program it? Does anyone know?

Thanks!

OpenSRS uses a perl client to access their gateway. There are some other integration programs going on like a php integration as well as a payment gateway integration on sourceforge. OpenSRS also allows you to customize the integration with use of templates. I'd recommend them 100%

eNom offers Perl, PHP and ASP scripts as well as an API to create your own interface. They also provide a hosted interface complete with CC processing.

Plus every domain includes DNS, parking and web/email forwarding. All for less per domain than other well known registrars.

Do you know a web site that is using that client so that I can see how it works in real life?

Thanks!

Which client exactly?

We run the opensrs-df client from SourceForge, which is basically the same as the OpenSRS client. They are actually merging later this year, with the SourceForge version becoming the standard.

The PHP "client" is really just library routines for your to make your own client from.

Dotster.com resells. Many use them... if you want to see an example you may go to Voxtreme.com

just to echo Tim's sentiments, which type of integration are you looking at demo'ing. As stated before, Myostrich.net use opensrs-df while we use the current perl client version 2.5.2 listed on the openSRS's site. If you want to demo mine, which is stock, no customization (for the test environment) , send me an e-mail or a pm.
