I use varhosting for my personal use mainly, and I host just a couple of friend’s sites.
I’ve been with them for 5 months now and my conclusions are:

1.- Support: I have open about 10 support tickets . 9 where solved within a couple of hours. Only the last one took a long time. This last ticket had to do with my isp, as nothing could be done at the server side, they actually moved me from server. THIS was great, as they didn’t have to do it. Some times I’ve missed detailed explanations, but as things get working fast enough, I can live without them.

2.- Uptime: I’ve got about 6 hours of downtime during all this time (I think it is ok)

3.- Server has always respond very well. Just a couple of times server loads have been high. I use One of my sites to upload/download big files, and I’ve never had problems on the speed.

I am very satisfied with them. I think they are a perfect solution for resellers who do not want to waist time answering support tickets and generally speaking, it is a great value for your money.

Sounds like a coincidence that someone just magically makes a good varhosting review while people are having problems :P

Kinda makes you wonder.. ;)

But, honestly, thanks very much.

I puted it becuse they solved a problem (moving my account).
that is why.
I'm on node 103.

I'm nor friend nor anything else than a customer from varhosting.

I guess the flames of other customers are true, but certanly what I'm saying is true as well. And I like good comments.

I just felt like writing when I stoped reading at the 3rd page of the other thread ;)

Personally - for the price I think VARHosting is not bad at all. Any people who are flaming should look at the price they pay instead of the issues they face.

Kudos to VARHosting for satisfying this customer!

Let's not go this route again:rolleyes: Node 102 has had some downtime in the past few weeks, but mostly a few minutes here and there. That I can live with. And no downtime for the past cople of days. Still holding at 99.8% uptime and waiting for the day that it stays at 99.9%, but murphy's always on my heals and must tag along with Roj too:)

Same here. I've been with Var going on my 6th month. Node 100 untill 2 months ago, no problems. Moved to 102 because i wanted rvskin, still no real problems.

June uptime: 99.417 %
2005 uptime: 99.516 %
Alltime uptime: 99.516 %
I can live with that concidering what i'm paying.

I have some sites that need more resources and they are at liquidweb. Where I've also had downtimes and I pay a lot more.

Anyone needing an almost-100%-uptime server should know more bucks have to be spent.

And again, I just posted because I've got a good service so far, and I expect it to continue getting better (Roj don't let us down :) )

At least in this instance - rare around here - you get to read the better side of a host. I guess if one would be more realistic like some of our friends here, we could see more objective opinions around.

Good luck to you all. I've moved from varhosting because of the problems on 104.

I wonder if the content reviewers are hosting commercial sites which provide their living or just are hosting sites for friends as the original poster stated?

95% of sites I host are business related. The only complaint from them is the smtp (twice in 6 months).
