I have a fairly basic form which uses FormMail as the processing script. It works fine but I need some validation set up for it.

I would like to be able to verify that all required fields are entered, that these fields are formatted correctly and specifically that the email address given is valid (to a point i.e. something@something.com rather than just rubbish).

To complicate things a little the required fields will depend on what options are chosen earlier. For example, if "Not listed" is chosen for the company name then the user must fill in the field called "othercompany" - if anything other than "Not listed" is chosen from the list then they dont have to fill in the other company field (there are a few of these in the form).

Can anyone help? Need this quickly please!!

tks

you can use my littel tool at:
http://www.rent-a-tutor.com/tools/

to create a self-validating form in PHP. You can set it up online and have the code sent to you via e-mail.

If you need something more complicated, I will be glad to help for a small fee.

do you have any preference on the language of the validation?

If you still are looking, Im your man ;) I am basically an expert with CGI. I can build you another form validation script from scratch for you. ;)
