NOTE: ******* <<< I did that so i won't completely embarrass this host.

A competitor SPAM'ed me asking if I (a hosting company) could trade links! Isn't that absurd:confused:

If you are not showing the name of the host then what is the point of posting this thread?

1) To show how much I hate SPAM
2) To show other companies/people why its foolish to spam

if you want a copy of the e-mail feel free to PM me, but i'm not about to embarrass just any company....that's just wrong

You must not hate spam all that much if you're afraid to embarrass the ones that spammed you.

I received an email just like that a couple of weeks ago. I can't remember the name of the host though.

I get tons of spam with my personal email address. From business props to adult stuff. I don't know if it's a good idea or not, but a few times I did a whois on them and any other site that was affiliated with the email and sent a little "nasty-gram" to every address I could find. I even sent it to their host. Out of about 12 I got two emails saying that I would be removed from their list.

...just for fun

I've found spamcop.net very effective. It not only speeds up the process of finding information on the spammer, but also enables you to send complaints to all the appropriate administrators with one click.

Afraid  I think akashd was making a point without offering them a free advertisement. I'm sure that if you pm'd or e-mailed you'd be told who it was.

akashd - I'm with you :)

Well, I do hate SPAM, but like others have said, if I didn't block the company that would just be free advertising....

And..like i've said before...just PM me if you really wanna know.
