I recently went to SFOG I was scared because I do not like wood coasters ( all I had road before ) because the flying out of seat triggers the danger alarm in my head and makes the entire thing un-fun. But, Despite that and my bad grammer I loved riding the steel coasters down there. Georgia Scorcher was great, Mind Bender probably my favorite, Ninja I HATED because it banged my head up between the shoulder harnesses. And batman was good and intense riding in the very back at dark... but the 3 hour wait made it not seem so fun lol. Overall it was fun, we went on fright night and I loved the coasters! :-)

Hell Yeah, rollercoasters are awesome. Luckily I've got Kings Island, Six Flags, and Cedar Point all within driving distance of me, so there's plenty of coasters for me to choose from. As for my fav, I don't really know. They're all pretty sweet, the Magnum Force at Cedar Point is pretty cool. Takes forever to get to the top of the hill though. Batman at Six Flags is pretty cool too though, so I'm not really sure. I'd have to say me least fav coasters are the wooden ones just cause they're so bumpy, and rough. I swear I had whiplash after riding the Mean Streak at Cedar Point, dang thing whipped me around like a rag doll.

Oh yeah, those 3 hour waits are a pain is butt. Especially when they have the food and drink machines sitting right there, but charge ya like $5 for a can of pop.

Yes 3 hours of waiting in a large building with a 1,000 other people everyone sweating and getting very upset at the 3 HOUR WAIT to ride. We were in the 1 hour ok why leave now? 2 hours we waited this long aint leaving! We went in it was sunday we came out and it was dark! The que wasnt even air conditioned I don't think. It sucked...

Not to mention I was eating some snack candy and it pulled my tooth loose and I was bleeding lol... Fun time. That was my only complaint. Everyone was friendly and the rides we're great. I just feel for the <insert politically corect term for fat guy here> who waited 3 hours and then was too big to fit in the restraints on the coaster....

My fav is any roller coaster that goes up and down quickly. Although the wooden coaster at Darien Lakes, in western NY (The Predator?) is really, really, cool. None of that smooth-riding stuff you get on the steel coasters. Pure, unadulterated, back-breaking shaking. That's a wooden coaster. Wonderful stuff!

A year ago last summer, I went on a coaster vacation here in New England. Neat stuff. I visited a lot of the coasters around here. By the end of the summer, I was shaken, inverted, squished into my seat, floated and otherwise subjected to rather interesting amounts of G forces. It was fun. I may do it again in a year or so.

I used to like them. Now, they make me motion sick.

Anything that triggers DANGER DANGER in my mind is not fun to ride... And sitting in the air being held by a small bar triggers that DANGER alarm in my head. Though mind bender did not trigger it and it just had a bar and it went through looops lol. But I do not like wooden coasters but I LOVE steel coasters.

Alton Towers isn't to bad, apart from the crowd and the wait, oh and the cold but, I agree with you on the motocycle buzz.

Mind you, Alton Towers isn't a patch on some of the rides in Florida and there is some pretty good rides on the Gold Coast in Australia too.

Just thinking about it, I haven't been to a park for a while and I think I am getting the urge. (To go to a park) that is. Glad you brought the subject up.

yeah altons not bad, pretty good but doesnt compare to the us, the big coaster at blackpools not bad tho. flamingo land near ripon is pants for costers and not that good on the zoo side either, lightwater valley is way too commericial. now what we want are rollercoasters where you can control the direction :spiny: :dgrin: i still remember when i thought the rat ride was scary lol hands up anyone with the piccies of themselves on these rides :)

Do I like roller coasters?

MilleniumForce Cedar Point.
When I was there 2 years ago it was the tallest and fastest.
The line to get on the thing is crazy, so I get there when the park opens and go on it once. I would rather ride a less popular coaster 10 times than wait 4 hours to get on the popular one once.

I like the occasional roller coaster... (http://www.spurvus.com/letsroll.txt) This summer going to Six Flags Elitch Gardens and Worlds of Adventure, Cedar Point [again!], Paramount Kings Island, and Lake Compounce.

My favorite is X at six flags magic mountain. I like it so much I bought a shirt for it.

Well, I've got an '85 Peugeot station wagon with worn out shocks and springs. I just love the ride on the local roads, better than any roller coaster :-))

I rode that at the Six Flags near me. I didn't think it was the greatest roller coaster, but it wasn't the worst. I'm more of a up and down hilly type roller coaster guy.

I'm not sure how it is at your 6 flags but that first drop is awesome.. You're just in freefall for a good 4 seconds.

3. Georgia Scorcher @ SFOG
4. Dahlonega Mine Train @ SFOG
5. Mindbender @ SFOG
6. Ninja @ SFOG
7. Batman the ride @ SFOG

I think that's in order but honestly I don't remember the six flags trip that good even though it was just in october....
