Hi,

I am intending to change my current hosting provider, (I currently at LiquidWeb, and I am generally satisfied by theirs services except of support, but I need more bandwidth). I've been impressed by CentiHost.com's semi-dedicated account for $50. I'm going to sign up to this plan, and I made a search on WHT to find something about this company, but did not find anything except of theirs offers of hosting.

Could someone make any comments about this company please?

Thanks.

Seems like a new company (Domain registered in march 2002), but they have some mistakes in the front page.
The have a dedicated in Rackshack, where they don't lease dual servers and with more of 1 GB RAM, of course, they can colo there.

Also, they say that have

PHP 4.1.1 when they have PHP 4.0.6
mod_ssl 2.8.5 and they have mod_ssl 2.8.3
FrontPage 2002 Which I think its FP 5 and they have FP 4
Apache 1.3.22 and they have Apache 1.3.19
mod_perl 1.26 and they have mod_perl 1.24
MySQL 3.23.46 and they have MySQL 3.23.36

their network page seems full of bs also...

With our superior servers we can provide hosting for your web site which guarantees performance. With multiple redundant Internet connectivity we can guarantee uptime up to 99.5 percent! Our bandwidth providers are top-class ISPs' such as Verio, Sprint, UUNet, AT&T and Level3. With DS3, OC3 and OC12 connectivity your site will load in no time!

ummm, rackshack dosn't have connections from Sprint, UUNet, AT&T or Level3, nor does rackshack even own an OC-12...

Use them at your own risk, I guess:rolleyes:

Hmmm... It's the real reason to think twice. And it seems that if they have establised several days ago, there will be no any other comments. Thank you Jedito and 311, at least I will know that I must have a ready-to-use reserve solution. Their offer is so good that I probably will try it anyway. All the more they offer free 7 day trial.
