I have a .com domain that expires on 11-JUN-2005. It is currently with Dotster and I want to move across to my Enom account and renew it there. Is it safe to do the transfer with only a few days remaining?

Not sure about Dotster, but I have done last minute transfers (I mean LAST MINUTE like acknowledging requests on the last DAY) away from Tucows/OpenSRS and eNom, and they are both good. Techno 06-06-2005, 05:44 PM I think its too close. It took 7 days (including the day I initiated it) to complete the transfer away from Dotster. DevilDog 06-06-2005, 07:27 PM I'd be interested to know the answer if you find out. That is definitely close to the deadline. It would be nice if anybody had a list of "deadlines for transfer" for the major registrars. nameslave 06-06-2005, 07:54 PM Originally posted by virginia It took 7 days (including the day I initiated it) to complete the transfer away from Dotster. Yes, it takes e.g. eNom 5 days to transfer out. HOWEVER, as long as it has started, the domain will end up at the gaining registrar even after the expiry date. But then, don't try it at home. :D Bashar 06-08-2005, 10:03 AM its safe overall, and dotster allow names to be transfered if its not expired yet, did it multiple times :) |
