I need a shopping cart for selling items (NOT HOSTING OR Domain Names) ranging from groceries to electronic gadgets.

The shopping cart should also be easy to integrate with PayPal or 2Checkout.

Plz recommend.

If you have basic PHP skills, OSCommerce (http://www.oscommerce.com/). It's not perfect, but I still think it's the most powerful open source framework to start customizing from, and it has a huge amount of community contributed "mods" to accomplish almost any task you'd want a shopping cart to handle.

It has native support for PayPal and 2Checkout, as well as many other payment services and gateways.

I've checked almost all shopping cart and I think the Oscommerce is the better one but one thing that Oscommerce doesn't have yet, it's an administration area protected with password and username.

The complete modified Oscommerce with administration area password etc protected is "theStoreZone" from http://www.algozone.com/

There you can have it for free but the skin installation is a little bit changed.

There is also another one like theStoreZone is the Creloaded Oscommerce or Osc Max :)

You didn't say if you prefer freeware, but this is a list to think about- X-cart, cube cart, Zen cart.
