First of all let me tell this point that I am not going to post a request for hosting. In fact I am looking for those who are aware of such a host.
In fact I have asked most of popular hosts on WHT and I have found that most of them do not have a really safe backup solution.
Most of them use a secoond hard disk for their backups (Mount it when making backups and unmount it after that). But as we have seen here before this is not very safe.) I am not going and I do not want to discuss about safety of second hard disk in this thread.
In fact uptime is important for most of us but not as important as safety of datas.
I need a host that really backs up all data including MySQL data, emails, customer account setups etc on a offline storage (a tape or a computer on private network or other safer solution). I have received an offer for a partial backup solution using a custom made script (by ukname.net) but this is not the thing I really look for. With their solution you must choose websites you want and it copies their data files (no databases) and this does not include account settings.
If someone is aware of such a company is it possible to give me an advice? If you have such a service would you please PM me?
