I tried to edit one of my postings. I clicked on the "edit thread" link at the bottom of the page of that thread.

Well, I was asked UserId and Password, but authentication wasn't accepted...

Has anybody else been able to edit a thread on these boards?

I think you probably clicked the edit thread at the bottom which is for admin use only.

The edit thread you want is on the line with your message.

Ah, if that's the case then yes, you won't be able to edit the thread. You'd need to ask one of us to edit it for you (I can do it for you if you post your request here).

You can edit your posts, but you can't edit the actual thread title. (which is a bit weird, but that's the way it works)
