Hi Guys,

Ok, since I've had a lot of time on my hands latley I've been looking for a product to integrate perfectly with my new entrepenueraul adventure i'm about to embark on. I was going to use ubersmith for the billing/ticket integration, however, after trying to contact them on several occasions I gave up since it appeared they had no intrest in my business.

So.....

What I need is this.

Online billing system to manage customer data with a customer / admin interface for both the client and the admin to manage the data.

Automatic monthly billing of the client based on customized data sets.

Has an integrated ticket/support system. The support system doesn't *have* to be integrated but i'd prefer a universal login for both billing management and client tickets.

Thats about it, needs to integrate with a few merchants so I can have a choice of whom to pick for the credit card processing, but aside from that it can be a very wide range.....

Thanks for all the help I'm sure to get :)

Have to put my hand up for ModernBill too. For price/quality it's about the best I've seen. It's also 'in-house' which makes relying on a third party a moot point.

Hi Daniel
PM me and I'll give you a AIM contact in Voxel (Ubersmith).

PHPManager (http://www.phpmanager.com) would probably do what you want.
It supports a number of payment processors and you can add more. You can manage clients etc.

That's definitely good news. There'd be no complaints here if Voxel decided to follow suit+ get the PHP encoder to release their GUI and database hosting control.

It's damn near impossible to integrate anything with ubersmith data remotely.

The obvious point of concern for them is getting a one-time payment instead of a $99-$199/mo revenue stream. I wonder, with some competition, if they're likely to relax. :D

Hey Daniel-
I'd also have to throw in my .02, and I say go with modernbill as well. The programmer is awesome, as he reads and listens to every post made by his customers. The product is a superior billing suite as well.

Well, two quick points.

1. We do infact have 'Ubersmith Enterprise OnSite'
in the wings. Run it on your server at your
location. One time fee and an annual fee for
support.

2. What competition are you referring to? I think
our pricing is extremely competitive.

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys :).

Right now I'm looking at both UberSmith and ModernBill, however ModernBill needs to hurry up with version 3.0 for a fair comparison :)

Since a few people asked what I'll be doing with my time I'll go ahead and give you the company name, but thats it :)

Effect Online, LLC

Oh and yes, everything is going just fine :)

Hmmm....Since everyone refers to Ventures Online as VO, does that mean that they will refer to Effect Online as EO? .....and if they do, since DanielP is in charge, would that make him Captain EO? :D

...ducking and running....

Daniel,

Can I be Co-captain EO? :D

Since this thread is in the hosting software and control panel forum.... /me thinks harder of what it could be :)

LOL, I don't know if EO will catch on or not, it doesn't sound that catchy thou so we'll see.

Actually just because its in this catagory doesn't mean the company relates to it, chicken moved the thread because he thought it'd fit better here rather than in the general catagory :)

If you have something to offer the company then you might be able to be a Co-Captain.. heh :)
