I had some runaway processes. killed them and wated to reboot. reboot gives me a segmentation fault error. reboot -f does same thing. How can I reboot or fix it?? HELP!!!

Cut the power :-) If you're lucky, you have compiled Magic SysRQ into your kernel - then try doing this ALT-[SYSRQ] s (repeat that 4 or 5 times) then ALT-[SYSRQ] o if that doesn't work then: ALT-[SYSRQ] s (repeat that 4 or 5 times) then ALT-[SYSRQ] b SysRq is sometimes labelled Print Screen. o = shut system down s = sync filesystems b = immediate reboot morehtml 03-21-2002, 09:52 PM ok ARETNA 03-21-2002, 10:17 PM I have run into this before. morehtml, please let us know how it goes. morehtml 03-21-2002, 10:21 PM I am having the DC reboot the machine.
