I hope this dosn't sound like a stupid question, but here goes.

If I setup the automation correctly, the newest customer who just signed up should have her account created and domain transfered as soon as payment is received, correct?

If it goes through paypal, how does Modern Bill know that Payment has been received or not? Or would I have to enter it in manually to show that it had been received?

Also, I know you have to have a reseller account to register domains for a client, from a company like Enom. But how does domain transfer work? I think they want all their files from one domain automatically transfered over to the other, rather than just updating the nameservers.

Is that possible?

Thanks

I won't get into the reasons why you shouldn't have automatic activation here and try to answer your questions.

If you set up Modernbill to automatically activate accounts, then yes it should set it up as soon as the payment is made.

If the customer ordered a domain or a transfer, that should also happen automatically.

If you set up PayPal properly, then paypal will handshake with Modernbill and let it know that the invoice was paid. This will not happen right away if the payment was by echeck; only credit card.

Domain transfers only transfer the domain to your Enom (or whatever) account and change the nameservers. It is up to your client to transfer their files.

OK, thanks for the info. Still trying to figure out all the features of Modern Bill and not quite sure what it's capable of yet. This is the first customer that signed up through it so we're still working out the bugs :)
