Hey all,

I just got my new RaQ3 server and I have done all the updates from the cobalt page and also installed MySQL and SSH. Now I was wondering a couple of things:

1) Do I need to install anything to get the mail working? Is it possible to use qmail instead of sendmail?

2) Do I donwload the software I need from sites like freshmeat or should I get them elsewhere?

Yes, it´s a 4WebSpace RaQ3.

I already have done those, I ment other programs like qmail, popbefrereplay or anything else.

Use this:
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/contrib/binaries/RaQ4-RaQ3-POP-before-Relay-1.3pre2.pkg
to set up pop3-before-smtp patch on your server.

As for installing qmail instead of senmail, I DON'T recommend doing it as it can and will break many thing in the GUI.

Once that patch is installed though, sendmail is about as secure as you can get qmail.

For any other program... get them anywhere! Your system is basically a red-hat 6.2 distro tweaked by cobalt.
