we have used a script from imagefolio.com, but they are only perl and we need php. the canned stuff in fantastico is not real good.

One gallery script I have used is Coppermine which can be found at http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/

It integrates with various forums & CMS software as well as being quite customizable.

Besides Coppermine, the only other one I can think of quickly off the top of my head would be Gallery from http://gallery.menalto.com which is quite popular with PHPNuke (and related CMS) sites.

Of the two, I think Coppermine probably has the steeper learning curve for the end user but has more features.

Snaps! (http://labs.sonicdesign.us/projects/Snaps!/index.php?action=demo) was developed by a member here on WHT...give it a whirl.

gallery can be used with several php programs and just plugged right in. I like the newest version.
