Hi Guys,

I'm looking to compare these services - I can't seem to decide on which one. After doing some soul searching i've found out that some of my main motivations are:

1. Should be able to process MC/VISA/AMEX/DISCOVER (it appears PSI gate does not handle AMEX/DISCOVER cards).

2. I need to process transactions in USD.

3. I need to integrate payments into my site (API?).

Can anyone comment on the above two? Any experiences? Positive? Negative?

I've looked into fee's, and it looks like PSI gate has much higher fee's.

Internet SEcure quoted me $25/mth (no minimums) - while PSI Gate quoted me a $50.00 "minimum" transaction fee, $29.95 monthly fee, plus a "Visa/MC" monthly fee....

Any advise / suggestions appreciated.

Andrew.

Hi there,

I'm in the exact same boat as you. I just got off the phone with Internet Secure actually, and they have a sale on right now where you pay no monthly fee and no transaction fee until September 1st.

Seems pretty good. Also, I know a friend who did a massive amount of research about this by contacting their current customers and such. He ended up using them and is still happy with them (them being Internet Secure).

I think I'll probably sign up with them as well. PsiGate's prices were higher and I don't have the references for them (even though they appear to have canoe.ca and yahoo! canada).

That's my 2c.

Hi,

I talked to Internet Secure, and it appears they do offer an API so it can be integrated directly on your site (Merchant Direct). However, to do this, they require a VISA AIS Certificate (or someting like that? APparetnly costs $300/year) - they also require an SSL certificate and the such.

Also, i got the instructions about integrating the API frm them, and it is VERY confusing, especially compared to PSIGate. It is like 36 pages long of "mumbo jumbo".

Has anyone integrated Internet Secure into there website? Anyone using there "Merchant Direct" solution?

Curious to hear more responses.

Andrew.

I just want to make suer I'm understanding this properly.

You want to accept the credit card number and EVERYTHING off of your site right?

I was just planning on collecting their name and such (non-secure data) and then sending that to Internet Secure's secure site where they do the credit card stuff.

That wouldn't cost $300/year and require all the API stuff would it?

I am with PSiGate through http://www.digitallyjustified.com

I have nothing but great things to say about them. As far as amex I looked into this and supposedly you can signup to accept amex somewhere else and then it can work with there gateway or something like that. I am not exactly sure but very few people pay with Amex anyway. VanHost would know more about that.

Hi,

Ideally, i'd like to collect all information on mysite - so my user is never transferred to another site. So yes, i'd like to collect CC numbers on my site, however, obviously, all this information wouldn't be stored on my site, woudl be redirected "transparently" to Internet Secure.

Hm...maybe i should just stick with Merchant Link and keep it simple - i just dno't like the "basic look" of the checkout.

I was under the impression that you could completely customize the look of the payment page on their server.

I think "completely customize" is loosely defined - i think you can change the logo / text size, etc...but can't necessarily make it look "seemless"...

Look at teh demo on there site.

To confirm, yes AMEX will work with the PSIGate gateway. However, PSIGate can no longer provide the merchant ID's for AMEX. If you contact AMEX directly and obtain a new merchant ID, it can be tied in with an existing PSIGate gateway and funds deposited along with your Visa/MC transactions.

To confirm what VanHost has said - we use the PSIgate gateway and have attached Amex processing to it without issue.... Also, having been a psigate customer for 5 years now, I can completely couch for them. They are a little more expensive, but, well worth it - plus, their newly released API is simply outstanding...

Why did you leave Internet Secure? I've been with Internet Secure for about a month now and it's been great service thus far. I also find that I pay less in fees with the products I sell (only about 5-6 sales a month, but each one being $100-$200).
