pfoutran 06-01-2005, 03:10 PM Drag drop site creator (http://www.dragdropsitecreator.com) at Hostingcon Booth #215
SQLFusion (http://www.sqlfusion.com) will be exhibiting the latest version of Drag drop site creator, its online site builder for web hosting companies.
We will show you the website builder at work, how your customer can add plenty of add-on packages (multiple photo-galleries, blogs, etc,...) in a click and many other unique features.
Come by our Drag drop site creator (http://www.dragdropsitecreator.com) booth with a smile and you'll receive our T-Shirt!
We look forward to seeing everyone there!
pfoutran 06-05-2005, 07:29 PM In the Hyatt conference room right now.
That's going to be a fun event. Hope to see you all there. We will show you the Drag drop site builder, distribute T-shirts and answer all the questions you have.
IntraHost 06-05-2005, 07:34 PM Do we really have to smile to get the free shirt? ;-)
Looking forward to seeing a demo!
LP-Trel 06-05-2005, 07:52 PM Maybe you can give us a t-shirt and a free license? :stickout:
pfoutran 06-05-2005, 08:03 PM Absolutely. No smile, no T-shirt ;)
Just kidding. Hope to see you both there!
demostorm 06-09-2005, 04:19 PM Congratulations pfoutran. I think your marketing is now on track and your product is quite viable. Let the competition begin!
I got a chance to give Drag Drop Site Creator a test run at the Hostingcon show. I was invited over to the booth to try it out. Quite impressive. I've looked at quite a few different site builders over the past year or two. This one seems to be extremely feature rich.
Until I give it a thorough test, I'm unable to give it a complete thumbs up in terms of stability and reliability, but on the surface, it looks really good. I have spoken with a number of Hostingcon visitors who were quite impressed with the product.
Good luck with it, pfoutran!
Vito
pfoutran 06-09-2005, 05:51 PM Thank you very much Vito and Demostorm.
This has been a very cool event for us and it was a pleasure for me to meet you and many WHT contributors in person. I was sad to have to come back to california so early and miss the party closing the event. Was it nice?
Our focus is on making the software better and better. I will send you a mail later this week Vito and give you access to the software control panel and the site builder as well.
We are going to redesign the UI in the coming three month and I would really want to see your demo in the tutorial section.
LP-Trel 06-09-2005, 06:36 PM Oh well I had to try for the license. ;)
From what I've seen from the demo you guys gave at the booth I was very impressed.
Firefox and MSIE support with all the features included plus the pricing.
Simply amazing. :)
AHDOnline 06-09-2005, 11:13 PM I for one was practically sold by the demo at hostingcon. I have looked at this sitebuilder three times, and was very turned off by the online demo they have. But after seeing them in person and talking with pfoutran, I am working on how to integrat it into my site. He answered all my questions and showed me things i had no idea it could do.
Loaded with features, very customizable and allows me to give updated features like gallery, coppermine, phpbb, in one easy install.
Thanks for the great demo and talk.
Dave
pfoutran 06-10-2005, 02:29 PM That's my pleasure Dave!
Perfecthost 06-12-2005, 09:46 PM For those of you that were fortunate enough to visit the Drag Drop booth at HostingCon, did they discuss anything regarding updating the add-on scripts? Did they say they had a built-in method for our customers to update exploitable scripts to the newer version, or will it have to be done via Cpanel, or manually? I am asking this in regard to newbies in website building (not computer-savy folks)----the reason I am considering the software. I will be very interested to hear your feedback. I wish I could have been there to see it demonstrated. I have tried the demo, but there is nothing like having it shown to you.

Techark 06-12-2005, 11:43 PM At this time there is not an auto upgrade for the open source add ons they will need to be upgraded manaully. Thtat is one of the things I will be talking to the guys about.
the_pm 06-13-2005, 12:05 AM Ok, I've just been putting 2+2+2+2 together, and I think I finally have all the pieces in place. This is the software that you've been testing on various forums, getting feedback and whatnot :) I remember our phone conversations (Michael?), and going in depth through a demonstration for how DragDrop works when it was being tweaked!
You'll have to give me an update sometime on what changes took place and how the multi-developer angle is working out; I remember that was a big component you were pushing, and I recall our conversations about multiple, remote developers doing both code-level and WYSIWYG editing on the same documents in real time. Goodness, you were packing a lot in there. It's completely stable and out now? Congratulations! :D
the_pm 06-13-2005, 12:29 PM That's great news Michael :) You've always had aspirations to take over the e-world, and I'm glad to see you're getting there with Web Fusion Studio. I'd be happy to do more testing for you or just give you general feedback after a little casual use, if you'd like.
Congratulations again! If all goes as planned, I'll get to meet you in person at next year's HostinCon :)
pfoutran 06-13-2005, 12:35 PM I wanted to add - I just read Lamar posting :) - that indeed there is mention when a new package is available that an update can be installed (in the "software install and update section"). The line of the script to update becomes orange and a button "update" appears for the user to update the script.
I wish you were at Hostingcon. There was a bunch of really nice people in the booths and among the visitors. Really a nice event very well organized in my opinion.
That's true that it is much easier to show the software directly at work in person. I can drive you through the software over the phone if you think that can help.
And I added the meeting to my agenda Paul! I look forward meeting you at the next Hostingcon! Or in Los Angeles if you plan to come over in southern california. I would be glad to show you the city of Angels :)
Perfecthost 06-13-2005, 01:06 PM Thanks, pfoutran, for your reply! That sounds good. The color change will help prompt the client to update.
Maybe I will make next year's HostingCon. How many people attended this one?
-Lamar
pfoutran 06-13-2005, 02:43 PM Yes, the color change + upgrade button should be enough for end-users to be aware of the updates available. And the package installation is extremely easy (clicking on Upgrade/Install/Remove) so I think it should be no problem for your customers to install those packages :)
I have been told that around 600 people were attending Hostingcon. Maybe a bit more than that. That was a really nice event in my opinion.
