You Cn find better like godaddy.com and yahoo sometimes thows $3 domains up.
Wrong thread. Hopefully moderators will move it to the correct one.
1and1.com offers .com for $5.99/year. Also search around WHT for feedback regarding them

I think Registerfly has the promotional code and registration is $7.99 at the moment.
Take a look at theflypaper.com

Many offer lower prices. Netfirms offers .com for $4.95.

Just make sure you read the fine print in the TOS (Terms of service) agreement. Registrars have to pay the registry $6.00 plus ICANN imposes extra fees, so anyone selling below (in my estimation) $6.75 is probably losing money.
In addition, many of the recommendations above don't automatically include forwarding which it sounds like you need. To me, it's usually worth a dollar or two more to go with a registrar who is being recommended by several of our esteemed WHT members.
If you go only by price, you may end up like WHT member TAshkar18 did with a permanent ad banner at the bottom of your website: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=409769
