Hello

everydayinternetsolutions.com and webreseller.net are two companies which offer ensim hosting reseller accounts.

They claim that they have more than 99.999% network uptime and very high server uptime.

Anyone who has been with either of them?

I have had a live chat with both of them and if anyone is interested I can post conversation (I have permission from them for this).

Mac : Anyone there? This is from Webkar Web solutions
EIS : Yes, this is Matt
Mac : Hello Matt, I am comming from WHT
EIS : Great! What can I do for you today?
Mac : I am looking for a reseller account. I had forgotten your url so I have searched for about 3 hours to find it on google
EIS : Thats great, I appreciate to taking that kind of time to find us...
EIS : What are your needs for a reseller account?
Mac : 1- What kind of backup do you use? Second hard? Tape? Offline server? Another server?
EIS : We are currently updating all servers to use a 2nd hard drive, we have tape available for a charge.
EIS : Our control panel allows you to schedule backups on your own as well
Mac : I need a very reliable backup solution.
....
I am ready to pay more to be sure that data is safe
EIS : Thats why we're updating all of our servers for nightly backup
EIS : Instead of just the tape backup for a charge option
EIS : There is no way to access our backup drive since its not within our normal settings
Mac : Ok, Which version of Ensim do you use now ? 3. ?
EIS : 3.0, it is the latest version for linux.
Mac : Well, What about private nameservers? Are they updated whenever someone adds an account or you may do this for them?
Mac : And do you charge for private nameservers?
EIS : we offer private name servers as a standard option for our resellers
Mac : Are we able to edit records? Even our own zone?
EIS : With our system you are in control
EIS : you create your customers sites as you need them.
EIS : We use the webppliance LH not LS. LS does not have some options available to it, possibly thats what they are offering
Mac : And I am able to modify MX records? Add or modofy a DNS record?
EIS : Yes.
Mac : Well last question, 1- Is there a guranteed uptime (Server not Network) 2- Is there 24/7 support?
EIS : We don't have any problems with the server uptime. Its actually never been asked that way before.
Mac : It is a very common question on WHT as down times are very higher than 1% normally
EIS : We do offer 24 hour emergency support
EIS : Well most of the time its a network issue not really a server problem.
EIS : Honestly I can't remember the last time a server was down for more than a minute or two.
Mac : So I can count on 99.5%? ooooh 1 minute or two?
EIS : I would say 99.5 would be more than reasonable.
EIS : Our network is very stable.
EIS : Just so you know,
Mac : It will be great , If I can have 99.9% it will be more than enough
Mac : Thank you Matt, Can I post about the conversation on WHT? Some people though that there is only remarkablehosting in this market
EIS : Sure, as long as you are nice to us :)
Mac : Sure. Thank you for so much time you spent
Mac : Bye
EIS : Your welcome
EIS : bye

Unfortunately I have lost dump file of my chat with webreseller.net but they have very simillar services to EIS.

In fact I was looking for a more stable, reliable and secure hosting solution for very small websites (of big companies :D) . It seems they can provide uptimes of about 99.99%-99.999%.

My main concern has been backup availability. Ensim enables you to backup all your sites in a single file. (as they are in your VPS)

Why not try OLM, they offer this too. Same program WITH true 24/7 support.

http://olm.net/rse.html

Also, just a word of caution. We too run Ensim. If you see people adverting unlimited domains of an Ensim reseller plan, it is going to be an overloaded server. Choose a company that puts a limit on the domains, this is from experience. You will be much happier. When companies like MChost, etc do it, they are not paying for every reseller. With Ensim host, each reseller account they add cost $30 - $50/mo. So you do the math.

I will have to say Umbilly or whatever that webreseller does offer true 24/7 support.

Ive been there for about 1.5 years now. They are one of ensim's biggest clients if not there biggest. Ive met with the CEO personally, and there reallly a great company.

Solid network, and good service.

If im runnin ensim, I go with webreseller

Great. When I went to their site I did not see this. Usually companies advertise 24/7 toll free support.

As a reply to Ensim in general, unlimited namebased is only a setting, companies ccan choose to regulat how many namebased and Ip based domains one gets with a plan. I have seen people get as many as 40 namebased sites on a plan and I have seen only a few. It depends upon the traffice, cpu load, storage, etc... What it basicly says is this "We will not limit the number of namebased domains you setup". I hope this helps clarify things...

In fact I realized that after running a traceroute. But I prefered not to post it in public. But this does not change anything. EIS provides a value added service (at least their prices are about $40 cheaper while their servers have the same specs)

By the way Matt seems to be very friendly.

See our on 3/22 post:

for our (negative) experiences with webreseller.net

From our persective, the OLM (www.olm.net) alternative mentioned may be a better bet if you are looking for Ensim hosting reseller accounts

When was your account with them.

Webreseller has come a darn long way

As i said in the other post

Well I think this company is alot different now then early this year.

I dont think we would have stayed with a company if there standards were not up to speed.

I think with any company its important to read the TOS and AUP.

But overall for the amount of business we have done with this company on top of them Being one of Ensims largest customers, they are doing something right.

The account with them was the first part of January this year. The billing issues is current, 2 calls and 2 letters this month that have had zero response.

I agree, Matt is a very good person. I do not mind saying he is a channel partner, that is a big difference from a reseller. As far as Freedom is concerned, we are very sorry you had a negative experience and if you find OLM to your satisfaction then we are very happy for you. We wish you the very best with your hosting business.
