Does anyone have JDK (Jave Development Kit) installed on a raq?
I am interested in how resource intensive it is. A client has asked me to install it but I am hesitant because well... it's Jave and it's a raq and I need to put more then one customer on it to make a profit
Heh, I would have thought Sun would have put together a PKG for this one :P

There is a .pkg out for the JDK. I found it somewhere after I installed by normal means.
As for how resource intensive it is, well, thats like saying how resource intensive is Linux? It depends on whats running on it.
Do they want to do development on it? That sounds like a mistake.
As for running server side apps, I think by it's nature it's going to be a little more of a hog than a C app. I run a java backend for a flash chat room on a raq and it's system usage is pretty low. Nothing crazy, 10 users or so. Seems fine. Ask them what they want it for and go from there.
