Buydomains.com acquired a domain name that I have been waiting for. This was about 9 months ago and the price has not gone down. Does anyone have any idea how long they hold onto the domain until they start to discount? I really think that they are over charging for this one. Its over $4,000 and it is set to expire in September. I have told them I would pay alot for it but this amount seems excessive. If anyone knows how their formula works, I would truly appreciate it.

BuyDomains is pretty much in the business of buying domains and holding onto them until someone buys them. Which is not to say that large compaines like this don't make mistakes. Ultimate Search let go a domain last year (by mistake perhaps) which sold over at Snapnames at auction for $8,800.
But like Bashar stated, BuyDomains does negotiate on price.

Most of these companies will, One had a domain I liked and I managed to get them to go down almost $1,000 :)
