I have been looking for a simple yet good system to handle customer details, products, generate invoices etc etc.
It does not necessarily have to include an ordering system (like ModernBill etc).

Can someone enlighten me please?

The products - webhosting, voiceservers, gameservers and so on. I want to be able to enter customer details and add products, so that invoices can be created. If possible, also enter support issues and similiar tools for support logging/follow up.

Use Modernbill. If you don't need the order forms, don't use them. Modernbill does all that you want.

Watch out for ModernBill... You need to work very hard if you want it to do everything is says on the box.

Keep in mind most people ignore e-mail invoices, esp. if they aren't PDF so make sure you have automatic recurring billing.
