View Full Version : WizardHosting???
denete 12-25-2000, 01:20 AM I'm looking for a good php, mysql, perl cgi, 30+ MB host, and ran across WizardHosting.com. Any experience with them...specifically bad experiences? I just don't want to get burned with a lack of support, and a bundle of downtime problems.

RotoHost 12-25-2000, 01:51 AM I haven't dealt with them personally, but on this board, they have been very helpful in answering questions. I think they also designed VDI.net's new control panel. They would be a fine choice.
Happy Holidays!
12:45 am here on Christmas morning....I'm eyeing up Santa's cookies and milk... :)
The owner of wizardhosting is a regular on this board. He seems, like a great guy.
mybiz 12-25-2000, 12:48 PM I have talked with him on ICQ and he was very nice..
mybiz 12-25-2000, 01:11 PM Also, you might have forgot the "s"
its wizardshosting.com
Matt Lightner 12-26-2000, 02:06 AM Denete,
I can guarantee you that you will NOT be burned due to lack of tech support... not at WizardsHosting. Carlos (the owner I believe) is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, especially in this industry.
WH is extremely dedicated to their customers. This should be quite evident in the fact that Carlos was hired by VDI to do their Cpanel/WHM/Website designs. Carlos is excellent with computers, and more importantly with people. This is a good honest company, I know from experience. I also happen to know that WH has a top-notch billing system in place for their hosting customers (shame on me! :emlaugh: ).
At any rate, WH would be an excellent choice for a webhost. I'm positive that you will be more than happy there.
Hope that helps!
Regards,
Matt
denete 12-27-2000, 11:26 AM OK, it sounds like a good hosting company...but what about technical problems. Today I can't get any dns references to wizardshosting.com. Hmmmmm...where have they gone?

Chicken 12-27-2000, 12:37 PM Are you sure you are checking wizardshosting?
denete 12-27-2000, 12:57 PM I did finally get through. Carlos said that they were having problems with dns bind this AM.

CRego3D 12-27-2000, 04:40 PM yes .. just our luck .. All the websites that we host .. guess wich one had a DNS problem this morning .. OURS ;)
mkaufman 12-27-2000, 05:06 PM Yes, you sure won't go wrong hosting there. I've talked to Carlos on ICQ and he is just about the nicest guy you'll ever meet..
Carlos is one of the very refreshingly honest ppl I've talked to and I appreciate his friendliness and candour. You should have absolutely no problems with him.
P.S. Do I need to say anything else Carlos? Hahahahaha j/k :D
CRego3D 12-27-2000, 08:14 PM "refreshingly honest" .. I think he means .. "in your face ;)"
hehe, thanks everybody for the wonderfull reviews ..
denete 12-27-2000, 10:41 PM ...customer service. My decision came down to two companies, HostRocket, and WizardsHosting. With HostRocket I get 200MB storage and 10GB transfer. WizardsHosting only gives me 100MB storage and 3GB transfer for the same price...less the 9.95 setup fee from HostRocket (everything else is about the same). I'm not sure how much traffic I will see, so I'm going on reputation of customer service and responsiveness to inquiries. Thanks to Carlos, WizardsHosting wins this one.
