Hello all.

4000 MB and 30000 MB transfer/month for $69.99 per year?! Lots of "unlimited" features included in their resellers' plans in addition to "private nameservers" with no extra charge!

Is this too good to be true?!

Has anybody tried these guys before? Frankly, the prices they offer are a bit "Scary"!

I'm afraid the service you'll get is as much as the money you pay: "CHEAP"!

Any advice?

Thanks.

Personally I have never used their services.

Looking at the plan, IMO they might be overselling. Try pinging their IP, the response is quite slow compared to an average web host response time.

Have you tried their support yet? Try to get a response and see how fast it is. Do they list support hours or anything of the like? If so, see what happens if you put in a ticket after hours, some hosts go the extra mile and stay on an extra hour, and/or get on an hour early.

If you do a search there should be a bit of older and relatively recent feedback for "hostinglite" and "hiyacorp" : http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=

With a bit of luck, some of their customers might give you some up to date info in this thread, so... Good luck! :)

Hiya,

Try pinging one of our hosting servers, not the main HiyaCorp server. That only houses the main HiyaCorp sites and the billing system. Its an old server, but there is no need to upgrade it.

Average ping on our hosting servers ranges from 17ms to 42ms.

Feel free to e-mail us at any time. Normal response time is 15-30 minutes. Support works 24/7/365 with helpdesk and live chat staffed all day (3 seperate shifts).

Prices are cheap but if you notice...We've been in business since 2001 and selling hosting since 2003. Customer service is our number one goal. Our prices are cheaper then others because we are able to get our equiptment for cheaper. We just pass these savings straight onto you.

jerjo, there is no doubt that their pricing does seem scary at this point in time. If you have a Domain / Web site you can use for testing and they offer a Money back Guarantee, experience will tell you what you need to know.

On the flip side, best to always make sure you do some checking on your own. I did and found that of the 3 Search links posted by HiyaCorp, all 3 were favourable with 2 by the same person, although, 2 months apart, and the other one by someone who now seems to host somewhere else.

And you will find good 3rd party sites on the Internet for checking things. Such as:
http://network-tools.com/default.asp?prog=trace&Netnic=whois.arin.net&host=affordablehosting.ca

The 'affordablehosting.ca' site is the one owned by the person who gave 2 favourable reviews in the 3 Search links above. Opinions are good but should always be taken with a grain of salt or at half-value ..... this applies to my own opinion as well. :)

Incorrect. She is hosting with us (just on an anonymous server)

Think she might of wanted to keep it anonymous? :spiny: Yeah, she gives credit where credit is due...but isn't the purpose of such a service to be a blind provider?

There are a few clients who have given us permission to reveal that they are with us, and she is one of them.

We do not reveal anyones domains unless we do have permission from them.
