Wait a minute. Having been there when the usenet group alt.usenet.kooks was formed, and having voted for the first KotM, and having at one time been a EMF in a.r.k (look those up), I can't let HTH be misidentified. It's Hope This Helps. Always has been, always will.
Or, HIBT?

Or, HIBT? Hmmm . . . . I've always known it as Hope That Helped. :D
I guess I better add the two variations to the other post.
But, while I'm at it, I have to mention WHTC WebHostingTalk Cartel Don't Ask
almex 03-21-2002, 03:30 AM Well… shucks, I just want to say thank you to the MOD that had the vision to flag this thread as “Important”. It makes me feel good (I started the thread RANT RANT).
But more importantly, I would like to add that I admire the wisdom of this MOD. He/She has demonstrated that they fear not. By not only allowing, but also by prominently flagging-displaying this thread for all to see. It opens up and ensures that all the Insider lingo-jargon used in all WHT forums is made available to all, and shared by all – Addicts and Newbie’s alike.
Hopefully this Acronym thread-reference will continue to be available to all, now and always.
Salute and Thanks again,
John B.

DougBTX 07-14-2002, 04:10 AM http://www.juicystudio.com/tutorial/php/
PHP is a server-side scripting language and interpreter that is available on a wide range of platforms, including some versions of Apache, and Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS). The original program was called Personal Home Page Tools, which is where the initials PHP come from. There are also a few other definitions of the name, mostly thought up in retrospect. Some say that PHP is a recursive three letter acronym meaning, PHP Hypertext Pre-processor. Another generally accepted definition is Pre Hypertext Processor. The PHP script is embedded in the Web page, and interpreted on the server before being sent to the client who requested the page. PHP is open source, and may be downloaded from www.php.net.
We're both right ;)

Ignorant little child? putchi suka. You don't even know me yet you call me ignorant? Your upset cause I tagged you for pirating software aka being a theif. Funny fact is you couldn't buy beta photoshop7. Yet you said it was legit? So where'd you get it at. I really don't care if you like me or if you hate me. Its you, your opinion as far as I'm concerned is pointless/worthless. So go get a life/some legit software.

As the person you quoted said a point of prefferance.
People shouldn't diss AOL as much :\ Obviously people like AOL or they wouldn't be on it. The members are very nice and the online hosts keep the content under control.
CRS = Can't remember sh!t.
TTT = To The Top. One forum deletes threads older than 60 or 90 days. TTT keeps the threads online. At another forum some do not click to 'next page'. TTT keeps the topic on first page.
GA = Go ahead. Used in AOL chat classroom which indicated I understood and to continue the instructions.
People shouldn't diss AOL as much
Started with AOL, then went to another ISP, which filed for bankruptcy. Went back to AOL.
Lippy 11-30-2002, 05:44 PM AOL is a user friendly ISP for the un-educated person, its also has its benifits and its downers. Its a matter of opinion and availability for chosing an ISP, I personally liked AOL when I was new to the internet, now I prefer Comcast@home.
Steven.C 12-01-2002, 08:43 PM I like AOL. Couldn't live w/o it when I first got online. Although MSN was nice too. Optimum online is great though...

Not all AOL users are uneducated. Many are very smart actually.
stephenM 12-05-2002, 05:19 AM Then why are they using AOL? Anybody with half a witt surely would choose a PROPER ISP ;)

Just because you have AOL doesn't mean you can't do anything more than other companies. AOL has the ability to do the same things as the other ISPs, and it is a "community" with almost everything you need.
I, Brian 12-07-2002, 02:44 PM Doesn't AOL have a feature where, if you click to buy from Amazon, you end up in the AOL shop instead?
Was told that by a someone - just thought I'd ask.

Well, if you visit AOL Keyword: AMAZON then you just go to the Amazon website, not an AOL one.
