View Full Version : Business Cards
Hi fellow WHTers,
Was wondering where you guys get your business cards from on the Internet. If you know of any web sites that offer good quality cards at a good price, please share the URL with us. I mean, you do have a business card for your hosting/design company, right? ;)
Obtaining them locally is usually the best route as you can sit down with the company and pick and choose what you want in 3D and often times it's cheaper that way. However if you require the ability to purchase online I've seen good work come from http://www.iprint.com

RotoHost 03-20-2002, 04:50 AM Hi,
We've had great service from www.vistaprint.com. We've ordered from them several times and their products were always top-notch (considering the price).
BrianF 03-20-2002, 03:31 PM www.circle.bc.ca does great stationary design and business card stuff.

okihost 03-20-2002, 06:25 PM If your just looking for some basic business cards go to Staples I got 1000 for like 12.99 or something.. The online places are more expensive I think its usually about 15.00 for 250 cards plus about 9.00 for shipping. Staples and OfficeMax have a pretty good selection also..
dialuphost 03-20-2002, 06:39 PM Ive used 4over.com and couldn't be happier, they produced high quality cards and for a great price! They even design it for you for free! Check them out

I second this motion.
phpjames 03-21-2002, 01:30 AM I heard Lycos will give you a 1000 vs the 250 free from vista print. Look into it someone! ;-) Post a link if you can

Can anyone elaborate on vistprint.com? I want to hear your experiences. =)
Thanks.
If you live by an office max - they're copy max cards are very cheap.
I remember buying cards there - with my own design and two ink colors - at 1000 cards for around 35 bucks - thats not bad .... much cheaper than Office Depot.
DaHOST 03-21-2002, 11:44 AM This company is also good. http://www.businesscardsfast.com/

You get 250 great looking business cards for as low as a $5.10 shipping and handling fee. Yes, this is for the "free" card offer which does take three weeks for delivery and it does have a small one line ad on the back of the card for vistaprint. But you can pay more to get faster service, to lose the small ad, or even for premium designs.
But, overall, these are the most cost effective business cards that I've ever purchased.
Highly recommended!
Jason Ellis 03-21-2002, 02:38 PM For card quality and ease of buying (they accept uploads in tons of different design software formats), I *highly* recommend www.printingforless.com. I use them for business cards, letterheads, and brochures, and have never had a complaint. They're not the cheapest, but they've been absolutely great.
For outright price-per-card, I recommend ExtraValue.com. They take a little longer to print (they print them in batches), and their minimum order is much larger, but the price-per-card is exceptional.
I've also used VistaPrint but haven't always been happy with them.

Synergy 03-21-2002, 04:00 PM For businesses, I high would not suggest using the Vistaprint free cards simply because it says it in the back "Free by Vistaprint" and it really looks bad for businesses to use "FREE" products like that from the customer's point of view.
RackMy.com 03-21-2002, 05:48 PM I have used vistaprint on some projects and they are really good. I would also suggest them.
inkhead 03-21-2002, 05:54 PM If you want your cards done right, and a company that actually understands what 600dpi is, I suggest www.1000bizcards.com while their website is lacking, they are the first company (yes, i've used all the ones above multiple times) that seemed to have people that understood what they were doing. They even didn't screw up the layout. If it's important to you for the cards to not look like they were designed in "Paint" i recommend them. I recommend getting cards done right they leave an impression. To many "kiddy"companies printing off on their computers and leaving jagged images all over their nasty cards. Good Luck, and never under estimate what an impression the card will leave.... If you have further questions about print hauses or card designs you can email me, there are alot of good tutorials on business cards if i can find the where i put the links...
BrianF 03-21-2002, 07:25 PM www.logobee.com does some pretty outstanding work. I'm considering going with them.
