Please Help

We are goinging to be moving our billing system into something more automated and I would like to hear your opinions about systems you use (good and bad) and what you reccomend.

I would like to have:
- invoices email out automatically
- credit cards charged automatically
- the ability to work with 2 currencys
- bouced payments to be tried again along with an email follow up system that emails the clients with messages about the payments in arrears.

plus any other neat features that you like.

Thanks

:)

Not too sure about the two currencies, but Ubersmith (http://www.ubersmith.com/) handles all the other features you mention.

The only downside is there's no way to run the software from your own machine, you have to host it with them.

If you're in one country you can charge somebody from another countries credit card for YOUR currency ammount. Their bank/cc company works out the currency conversion.

E.G.

You are in USA, and charge a Canadian customer $1.00 USD. They actually get charged $1.30 CDN (or whatever the exchange rate is right now).

we need to charge in both currencys. We currently do but need a billing program that can handle it.

I am in Europe and I am using 2checkout and I think it suits my needs perfectly but you will have trouble charging in 2 currencies.
I believe both hostcharge.com and worldpay allow you to use different currencies!! :D :D

All I have to say is use ModernBill (www.modernbill.com) You'll love it.

Funny you should mention using 2 currencies. In the upcoming release of ubersmith you will be able to. You'll be able to make do multiple configurations of just about every part of ubersmith.

We are adding a branding feature to ubersmith that can allow you to basically run several different versions of the system from one central instance. What it does is allow for multiple configurations. Things like currency, graphics and notification emails can be different for different sets of clients.

For instance, you need to split your clients between the us and canada. You will be able to configure ubersmith to send invoice notices and account updates in french to your canadian customers and in english to the american ones. The difference will be pretty much transparent to your end clients.

It's kind of tough to explain but that's the general idea.

Sorry if i sound kind of salesman-ish. I'm actually more interested in what people think of this feature. We haven't had many explicit requests for it but, we figure it will fit right in for some of the larger or more diverse isps out there. Please let me know what you think.

We are now in the final round of testing for the new release. I can't give a specific date for release but it definitely falls into the category of "as soon as we possbily can."
