I am using horde, but I am searching some program most nice, as hotmail or gmail

What think about of Microsoft Exchange Server for Windows or Exim Mail server for linux and SquirreMail?

Dont matter to me, if I should pay for this

What recomendations have you?

Exim is an MTA not a webmail, squirrelmail is fantastic though, it has a lot of support and plugins and the developers seems active.

Exchange is something that is good if you use it more as a collaboration tool rather than simply webmail as it can be costly.

Try Merak Web Based Email it is commercial, supported and easy to install, without or without their Email server.

We offer our clients SquirrelMail. As was said above, the development is still very active and there are tons of plugins available to enhance the user experience. Our customers prefer it very much over Horde, which we offered before switching to SM.

Exchange's OWA2003 is un-beatable. Im not sure how it works with firefox but it realls is un-beatable with IE.

and I second that Merak's webmail is pretty nice...

It works ok with firefox, just some of the features does not seem to work like in IE. But still pricing is high and it is worth the price only if utilise fully as a collaboration tool.

I understand than the most cheap and best solution is squirremail

I am not sure about exchange, but merak has a trial version and squirrelmail is free. Just install and try out for yourself , this will be the best way to find out.

Can't help you any more here. SquirrelMail and the plugins available for it met my needs and the needs of all of my customers. I beta tested it with a few customers who loved it, so I just went with SquirrelMail. I have never used the others.

I like squirremail too. Only good words about it.

Squirrelmail is good, yes.

The only problem I have with squirell besides it's uninspiring gui is that it does not work well with uwimap.

I'd purchase Merak in an instant if it weren't so expensive [atleast for what I would use it for].

. If you want to provide a Hotmail like interface to your customers and price doesn't matter, try MailBee Pro v3.1 (http://mailbee.iforum.com/products/webmail/). Don't use 3.0, as it would not delete emails from server when you remove them from trash.
