Could someone please tell me if I'm being cheated. One of my servers is a WHHQ Power Server (biggest mistake to go with whhq.net), and I have a feeling I don't have the 128 megs of ram that I'm supposed to. Could you please verify that the following means I have 64:

[admin@zusket admin]$ cat /proc/meminfo
total: used: free: shared: buffers: cached:
Mem: 65613824 63975424 1638400 83300352 18141184 19832832
Swap: 1266651136 11268096 1255383040
MemTotal: 64076 kB
MemFree: 1600 kB
MemShared: 81348 kB
Buffers: 17716 kB
Cached: 19368 kB
SwapTotal: 1236964 kB
SwapFree: 1225960 kB

Thanks,
Brandon Keim

Uh oh. Your fears are confirmed. You do indeed have only 64 mbs RAM.

Compare that to my test server (a Linux box with 64mbs RAM) running at home :

Mem: 64517592 55595008 8822784 25489408 28307456 12898304
Swap: 106921984 5742592 101179392
MemTotal: 62908 kB
MemFree: 8616 kB
MemShared: 24892 kB
Buffers: 27644 kB
Cached: 12596 kB
BigTotal: 0 kB
BigFree: 0 kB
SwapTotal: 104416 kB
SwapFree: 98808 kB

Looks rather similar doesn't it?

Sorry

(1) Yep you made a bad choice.

(2) You do indeed have 64mb RAM. If they try and tell you otherwise send to this forum and we'll eat them alive :)....

The Swap is made up of HD space and does not represent the RAM, they'll probably try and fob you off with this one.

I think 'eat them alive' would be the understatement of the year, Matt. I could think of 100,000 different things to do to that company if they dare to lie in such a way...

Ouch! Yep, only 64 MB. I've heard nothing good about this company.

THey have done the same thing too you as they have done to millions of customers, weve heard horror story after horror story about them skimping on hardware and bad service, just pull out now, and go with someone who frequents this board like terra-byte.

And the sad part is .. 64MB of ram cost less than 50.00 ... come on, even if you have 1000's of customers, I'm sure you can affors it, and it's better than have a bad reputation or customers leaving when they find out

I honestly wonder why a reputation is worth so very little to these people. *sigh*
